The Cast: Who's Who (October 2019)
Guys,
This will be my shortest ever casting post. Only four guys, only one new and he's the one guy for whom I'm not sharing a base image. Still, my OCD requires me to create this post, so here we go!
The Cave 25: Cody vs. Beau
Beau = Steven Webb (Bodybuilder)

Review: #685 Axel vs. Gabe Steel (UCW)
Gabe Steel: I believe that people like to see you suffer, Axel. I don't think there's been enough of that. So, that's when a guy like me comes in and takes care of that problem.
Gabe Steel must be reading blogs because he nailed a very common sentiment that I see in the comments for posts of Axel matches. There are definitely some vocal commenters who want a change of pace where UCW's golden boy gets taken down a peg or ten. Well, Axel vs. Gabe Steel might be the video for you. Axel definitely suffers here as he gets brutally punished.
Just so I don't deceive you, this match is back-and-forth (UCW doesn't really do 100% squashes), but Gabe dominates more (probably 65% of the action) and it feels like even more than that. More importantly, he gets Axel squealing in a way I haven't heard before.
Gabe tries to answer the shortage in Axel suffering. |

Review: Loki vs. Steel x 2 (Thunders Arena)
I'm talking two Thunders Arena matches today. These videos are complete on their own, but they're linked. The result of mat match is referenced in the ring match. The loser on the mats wants revenge. He calls himself "the best", but the winner reminds him that he beat him, so he's only "second-best". Of course he says that was only on the mat, but the winner has a point.
This creates some tension, but honestly, these two show a natural rivalry that makes the videos move regardless of wins or losses.

Review: Chace LaChance vs. Vlad (Wrestler4Hire)
Vlad: "I came here to beat all you. All you Americans are weak!"
There are two big reasons to watch this match from Wrestler4Hire: the incredibly gorgeous Chace LaChance in a jobber role and the classic storyline. As if you couldn't tell from his name, Vlad is Russian. And Chace is American. That's right, it's a classic Russia vs. USA conflict. While Chace's American pride is a little subdued, Vlad's Russian arrogance is high and a constant theme throughout.

Review: Austin Tyler vs. Quin Quire (Muscleboy Wrestling)
Full disclosure: This video was provided to me by Muscleboy Wrestling.
For a guy named similarly to one of my least favorite comic book characters, Quin Quire has managed to win me over. It helps that he’s not a pink-haired punkass bitch that’s been over-pushed for well over a decade at the expense of far more interesting characters. If you’re wondering what the heck I’m talking about, don’t worry. X-Men stuff. My main point is that I like Quin Quire. And I liked Austin Tyler vs. Quin Quire.

Review: Gabe Steel vs. Marcus Ryan (Muscleboy Wrestling)
Full disclosure: This video was provided to me by Muscleboy Wrestling.
Muscleboy Wrestling has released their 16th catalogue. They've labeled it "the rougher, the better" and that's definitely true in Gabe Steel vs. Marcus Ryan. While the selections include a lot of favorites, I decided to watch this one first for some reason. Maybe I just wanted a surprise. Well, the outcome isn't a surprise (you know early on how it's going to go), but the match is impressively good.

Review: Ethan Andrews vs. Zack Johnathan (88Wrestling)
Full disclosure: This video was provided to me by 88Wrestling.
I like extra drama in my wrestling beyond just hot guys grappling. Stories, contrasting studs, gear, setting, whatever. Just give me some overt and clear reason why they're wrestling and I'll be much happier. This probably surprises no one, but it's in my head because recently, Joe made a request for a simple wrestling video without a story, posing, porn ...just two guys hitting the mats.
That’s so not me.
If a match doesn’t have a story, I’ll add it. I’ll add dialogue. And conflict. Ethan Andrews vs. Zack Johnathan is all about the story. And the story is the big reason why I like it so much.

Review: Cameron Matthews vs. Kieron Night (W4H)
I only clicked on this video for Cameron Matthews because I'll check anything featuring him that pops up in the member's video list on Wrestler4Hire. The video is from 2015, but I think this is the first time it's been streamed. Anyway, I honestly wasn't expecting much based on the setting and opponent (no offense), but I was totally wrong. This ended up being really hot.
My low expectations were greatly surpassed! |

Review: Calvin Haynes vs. Kayden Keller (BGEast)
I almost never read catalogue descriptions before I buy. Maybe at new places, but not from my usual haunts. I appreciate the effort that goes into writing them, but I just don’t find them all that useful. Too often, I’ve been either spoiled or duped. And so, I clicked play on Calvin Haynes vs. Kayden Keller with very little information, except for the series title. Even that wasn’t a ton of help because it’s an Undagear video which is one of the least defined series at BGEast.
