Next Story Coming on 7/1

Guys,

A lot going on here and I have not been able to focus on anything blog-related beyond answering comments. I prioritize that out of respect for everyone who takes the time to comment. Beyond that, I am woefully behind on writing and checking gmail.

I have the beginning and ending of the next story done and all three falls mapped out, so I think it's realistic that I will finish it by July 1st.

Alex

Here's a preview [SPOILERS!] ...

THE CAVE UNDERCARD 41: WEB VS. WILDCAT

THE CAVE LOCKER ROOM.

“Fuck, Cody, I’m so sorry about this. Skip’s not responding.”

I shrug, “Don’t worry about it, Nate. It’s not the first time a guy no-showed.”

With Skip back in town, we scheduled an impromptu Cave match for him. We don’t know how long before he disappears again, so we couldn’t wait. Skip’s a hot white dude. 25, 5’8”, 170-lbs. Muscle stud. Ripped and handsome, I jumped at the chance of having him in our ring for the first time. His only matches were when we were smaller, using my old apartment.

Unfortunately, Skip is also a flighty guy. He’s sweet and fun, but he just lives in his own world. No sense of time. Forgetful. Easily distracted. It makes him incredibly unreliable. Ryan, my best friend and co-owner of The Cave, warned me against booking him, but that was also kind of personal. He never liked Skip and isn't as patient as me. It looks like he’s going to be able to say “I told you so” but I’m not giving up on Skip, yet. And, of course, I have a backup plan.

For most people, Skip is a terrible friend. They don’t have time for his nonsense. So many guys have cut him off, but some of us are willing to look past it. It’s not like I’m counting on him for anything. Skip has been driving around America for the past four years, living in his van and motels. His fan site, Hard Van Hobo, pays for his journey. It’s run by his twin brother Nate.

Unlike the rest of us, Nate doesn’t have a choice. Well, he does, but he’s not willing to cut his brother out of his life. They’re twins, but other than in looks, Nate is the exact opposite of Skip. The same handsome face and chiseled body. Even the same haircut. But in every other way, they’re opposites. Skip is 100% gay and a bottom. Nate is 100% straight (I've asked several times). Nate’s responsible, dependable, and a junior accountant at a big international consulting firm.

Nate paces, “I understand that things like this happen, but with Skip, they happen too often. I should have driven him here.” He pounds the wall. THUMP! “He’s my responsibility, Cody.”

“He’s really not. He’s not a child. You do so much for Skip. You don’t need to add guilt over his … idiosyncrasies to the list.”

“I don’t, but I do.”

I put my hand on Nate’s shoulder, stopping him. We lock eyes, “I’m serious. Your brother is who he is. And this? This is no big deal. I’m not mad at him. I knew this was a possibility, so Jae is ready to take his place against Web. I’ll text him and he’ll be here in 15.”

Nate firmly says, “No.”

“No?”

“I’ll do it.”

My eyes go wide, “Nate. I appreciate the offer. I do. But you know what we do here, right?”

“I know. I watched Skip’s first two matches to see what he’d gotten himself into. I’m not afraid of the gay stuff, Cody.” I raise an eyebrow. Nate hesitates. I’m expecting him to reveal he experimented in college. His face is reading like it. Instead, he says, “Who do you think edits every one of Skip’s videos for his fan site? You think he does that?”

What a disappointing reveal. I shrug, “I never thought about it, but watching gay porn is different than wrestling for stakes.”

“I know how to wrestle.”

“Pro?”

“Yes. During college. A bunch of us from our frat got in with a pro wrestling fed in Boise. Prairie Boys Pro Wrestling. By the end of my masters program, I was pretty good.” Nate looks proud of himself. He must have been good. “Unfortunately, when I ran the analysis, I realized that I’m too small to make real money. It didn’t seem responsible to keep going, but I loved it.”

I’m sad for him, giving up on his passion for wrestling to be responsible. Poor guy. I nod, “Great, you can wrestle.” I remind him, “That’s only one part of The Cave.”

“I know how to fuck.”

“Guys?” Nate ignores the question, just staring back at me with a determined look. Maybe he did experiment with his wrestling buddies, but unlike his twin brother, he gives off top energy. I warn him, “And you know it can go the other way. Not to be too personal, but have you ever been fucked?”

Nate shakes his head, “No, but how bad can it be?” He’s too focused on making this right. “Cody, I’m doing this. If my brother makes a mess, I clean it up. I’m showered and ready.” My eyebrows go up, “You’re not the only who prepared for him to no-show. As soon as he chose a night in his van at the beach over coming to my place, I knew this was a possibility.”

Nate marches over to the locker with the Wildcat gear in it. He lays it on the bench. Dark blue squarecut trunks, boots, and head mask. I wait as he strips down. Yep, he’s a gorgeous man. Chiseled and ripped with a hefty cock. Huh, he’s more hung than his brother. When Nate is dressed, I add white tape on his wrists and hands to the knuckle. When I’m done, Nate checks himself out. I can tell. He’s ready to go.

I tell him firmly, “You need to really think about things. We also have to check with Web, see if Ash is okay with all this." He nods. I say his name to get his attention on me. "Nate." He looks me in the eye. "If you change your mind at any time, it’s fine. And I mean at ANY time. We will stop the match. We'll stop stakes. It doesn't matter. Whenever. Whatever.”

Nate stares back into the mirror, “I’m not changing my mind, Cody. Dressed like this, it takes me back to my college days. The path not taken. I’m even more sure than ever.”

I shrug, “Well, okay.”

Nate growls into the mirror, “I am Wildcat.”

  1. Take your time, Alex. I’m not sure how you maintain such an aggressive schedule as is! Writing these stories isn’t easy, and they can be very time-consuming.

If you need something to post in the meantime, I believe you still have my fan fiction story from earlier this year. I’m not sure if/when it fits in your plans, but it could buy you some additional time if needed.

We appreciate your work as always!

    1. Thanks! You are correct. That’s how unfocused I am. That would have been a great solution. An alt universe tale. I’ll look at it on July 15.

  2. As Anonymous said, I don't know how you keep up the pace and turn out quality like you do. Web and Wildcat look worth the wait, esp straight shooter, conscientious Nate stepping up. Twins, huh? Now that could be a fun avenue to explore.

    1. Thanks! I think that this marks the third set of twins I’ve featured. The nefarious swimmers of Route 69 Springfield, fun fanboys Ari and Dev in SuperStar 20 and AMU 250.6, and Skip who was introduced in The Cave 33 with Nate getting a mention. Always fun.
