Review: Blayne vs. Iceman18 (Thunders Arena)

Full disclosure: This video was provided to me by Thunders Arena.

Today, I'm looking at Blayne vs. Iceman18, the second of the two Iceman18 videos I was sent. Once again, the rookie gets a great opponent for a debut match. While Frey is the usual initiation at Thunders Arena, I think that Blayne has evolved into a perfect foil for a young newbie.

Boys being boys as Blayne helps
break in the latest rookie.

What makes Blayne perfect for this type of match is that he's smoking hot and talented, but his personality isn't overwhelming or dependent on him being the center of attention. So Blayne can shine, but so can his opponent, which is what a rookie needs.

In this video, Blayne is smooth and slightly scruffy, but less furry than other recent matches. I'm not complaining, though, because the guy is just stunning no matter what. He's always ripped, looking great in his frequently worn floral posers. Blayne has an expressive face, with a unique pained/'O' look that's adorable.

Iceman18 is back and in the same trunks as he faced Frey in. They still look great on him, leaving little to the imagination. His beefy body contrasts with Blayne's lean chiseled definition, looking powerful and luscious. A commenter mentioned that he gets washed out on video and that is frequently true in this match under the bright lights. However, I was able to make him out and still think he looked damn good.

Yeah, Blayne, I feel the same way.

Yeah, Iceman, I feel the same way.

How a Thunders job interview goes ... "During
the match, you're in total control. What do you do?"
"Uh, flex?" "You're hired!"

Blayne’s character has really evolved this year allowing him to showcase more skills and abilities. This is no exception. Without timing it, I'd say he dominates more of this back-and-forth video than the young rookie. He shows impressive power when he lifts and controls the blond beefcake, but also expertly plays the jobber when it's time to suffer.

Like Iceman18 and Frey, these two have a strong chemistry that I really like. The chill rookie is comfortable and confident, going with the flow. And that flow does keep going as Blayne and Iceman trade positions without excessive breaks. Iceman18 pauses to flex, which is a mandatory, but the action still keeps moving. I appreciate that.

Blayne's picked up some skills this year
and they're on display in the match.

Iceman looks great in this extended backbreaker.

Yummy. Blayne is so very bendy.

Action-wise, there's a ton here. Some of the moves are used by both guys and a few are repeated, but it doesn't feel boring or repetitive. The over-the-knee backbreakers are great both ways. They're long and painful, with both guys really leaning into them and selling the move. Often bigger guys like Iceman don't bend back, but Iceman goes all-in.

Blayne shows off. I'm impressed.

Even big beefy blonds need to breathe.

POW! POW! SMASH!
(Wait, is he Iceman or Hulk?)

In the end, this is another winner for Iceman18. Of course it helps facing great competition. Blayne's such a stud now with a lot of confidence and serious moves. Iceman18 is a cute young buck who fits right in with the whole Thunders scene. Hopefully Blayne continues this feisty and competitive persona. And I'm hoping Iceman18 keeps coming back.

So that's my take. What's yours?
