Review: Bruno the Beast vs. Ryan Sparks (MBW)

Muscleboy Wrestling is teasing the release of catalogue 7 coming out soon. I still have a ton of earlier matches to watch. Bruno the Beast vs. Ryan Sparks is one that I've had for awhile. I really like one of the wrestlers, but wasn't really into the other, so it wasn't a priority. New stuff kept coming along and it was sitting on my hard drive, getting passed over. Well, no more!

Now that I've finally watched it, how did it go?  It actually took me a couple of viewing sessions to get through the whole thing. For good reasons. There's a lot to like here.

Can Ryan Sparks turn the table on Bruno?

I'm a huge fan of Bruno the Beast. He's a beefy beauty with an excellent grasp of the erotic. Everywhere I've watched him, he's put on a great performance. Here, Bruno is looking hot in orange pro trunks. However, it's more his personality that makes him super-intriguing. Fearless, feisty and flirty, Bruno loves men, especially his opponents. and i love him for that.

Ryan Sparks is a guy I've seen a couple of times. He's got a big, bodybuilder body. Sculpted and massive, he looks good in yellow pro-style trunks. This don't last the whole match, but his sheer jock and succulent ass are pretty sweet, too. What's best about Ryan here is that he's into all Bruno's shenanigans. I like that.

It's an interesting combination. I saw that Ryan owned jobber Leo Luckett. And I think of Bruno as a guy who mainly dominates smaller guys or total jobbers, like Steve Tanner. Against bigger guys, like Masked Bruiser or Nick Flex, he's been the victim. I expected Ryan to maybe own this match. Nope. This is a back-and-forth match where Bruno actually dominates more, making Ryan his muscle bitch for long stretches.

I've watched a few matches with cringe-worthy chatter lately. I thought I wanted silence for a change, but that's not this match. Ryan is a quiet dude, but his opponent creates quite the soundtrack. However, while Bruno talks a lot, it's much smoother and more natural than most other guys. It never feels like he's reading from a script. Bruno comes across as a guy who loves guys and savors wrestling massive muscleman Ryan.

Or, maybe he isn't.

There's a lot of punching and bashing in this one. Especially against the ropes. Both these guys can take a beating, so it takes a lot to wear them down. They do an excellent job of making the blows look real, both in execution and in reaction. There are other submission moves, like a full nelson, camel and scissors. You also get multiple body slams (see below) that are delivered and sold as devastating.

From past matches, both these guys are into domination. This is one of those matches that successfully shows powerful men brought down. I really like that storyline. They're both into the scene, including mutual grabbing, fondling and kissing. The match ends with the 'loser' slung over the shoulder of the winner and the promise of post-match fun.

In the end, this match delivered multiple times and in multiple ways. Bruno does a great job with his usual flirty act, but Ryan is a unique opponent for him. Even though Ryan doesn't talk much, they have a strong physical chemistry. If you like seeing big, strong men put it all on the line in a sexy battle for domination, this is a damn good one.
