Review: Scrappy vs. Taylor Reign (Muscleboy Wrestling)

Fresh off winning the 2019 Cavey for Favorite Wrestler, Scrappy is staking an early claim for 2020. He's hitting it out of the park at Wrestler4Hire against Nick Justice (covered by W.R. at his blog), the star of Thunders Arena's Christmas season, and then there's this stunner from MBW's latest catalogue, which is on a whole different level of hotness. If he keeps this up, Scrappy's a lock.

Taylor and Scrappy put on one helluva show.

Taylor Reign is one of those great finds from Muscleboy Wrestling. He's lean and ripped with the perfect body for these kind of low-slung briefs (they're way too small to be called trunks). He's MBW's best lightweight heel, having impressed me from the beginning with his looks, attitude and skills. Yes, skills. Taylor's most impressive feat is how he's picked up wrestling like a champ.

Scrappy is gorgeous in white trunks with a jock underneath. His body is always perfection and I like his thick curly-haired look. It looks especially good being pulled. And his face is incredibly expressive, elevating his exceptional selling whenever he's in trouble. And when he's in control? No one can be more menacing and gleeful at the same time. He's so happy hurting his opponent.

Always perfect.

Scrappy vs. Taylor Reign is a 35-minute back-and-forth battle with the guys exchanging control. Things start within a minute and they don't stop until one guy is flexing in a hard-fought and well-earned victory. It's all hot as fuck. Taylor bends Scrappy, showing off his muscular body. Scrappy tries to break Taylor with his power. I was surprised how believably evenly matched they are.

When Taylor takes the unwilling Scrappy's trunks from him, the fireplug's intensity goes up, too. He declares that Taylor has "gone too far". At this point, I expected the last ten minutes to be one-sided, but for all Scrappy's bare-butt fury, Taylor manages to lock on even more hot holds. I easily could post 30 images from this one.

Scrappy seems okay with this. I know I am.

I appreciate Scrappy's long-held
suplex for so many reasons.

And 10 seconds later, Taylor finally comes down.

Action-wise, the raw sex appeal of the wrestlers might make anything amazing, but the wrestling is great. The submission holds and power moves are convincing and well-done. I'm more about the holds in this one, because they look so good. The two guys are both proud young studs, so that vibe comes through as they struggle for dominance. Neither one is a jobber (at MBW), nor do they want to be.

In the end, this was a great match. Scrappy and Taylor are super-hot in different ways. They have a lot of chemistry and they work really well together.
