Mindsweeper Monday: TCCW 57

TCCW are wrestling stories from two different Yahoo! groups from the early 2000's. These entries were part of a much larger universe led by other writers. There are references to characters, events and matches that will not be posted here. Titles change hands, friendships and alliances form and dissolve, all without you ever seeing it. Imagine you are watching an Indy fed sporadically.

Note: You can find ALL (?) the stories by all authors in order in their original versions HERE - thanks for the link, Mangler!

Texas College Championship Wrestling 57

Rusty (HW Champ) versus Anton (HW)

Chapter One

It was a fast week for both Rusty and Anton as they prepared for the heavyweight title bout. It was too late to get much stronger or more flexible, but both studs could get a lot smarter.

And Anton could heal after two grueling matches and some extra-curricular activity by the devious muscle hunk Steve.

Both wrestlers spent the week sparring and strategizing with their friends and teammates. Rusty had more matches than Anton, but his style varied and he learned new holds constantly.

While Rusty worked with Stefan, Steve and Luke, Kevin contemplated ways of "dealing" with Anton, but the challenger was never in the gym. Anton chose, instead, to work out at Doug and Bastian's boxing club. Kevin knew that Anton was safe there.

And he would be safe before the match, too. Already TCCW officials had moved to prevent anything from happening to damage their number one bout on Saturday.

The flurry of out-of-ring fights from the previous week had made them more vigilant than ever. Both Anton and Rusty were assigned "escorts" to Rusty and Anton to prevent any pre-match activity. Referees who were also tough College wrestlers would be around to ensure no funny business.

All this spelled the worst situation Kevin could imagine.

A fair fight decided by the skill, strength and luck of the wrestlers.

Kevin paced before the match nervously. He had already seen two belts leave his fold and one wrestler follow. With the lightweight and middleweight belts gone, Kevin knew that he needed Rusty to come through.

The official assigned to Rusty looked at his walkie-talkie, which vibrated on his hip. He looked at the screen and said, "Time to go, Rusty."

Rusty nodded and followed him to the ring, the Posse following obediently.

From the opposite locker room, Rusty saw Anton emerge with his two friends and hulking escort. Rusty and Anton's eyes met. Rusty nodded almost imperceptibly, but Anton saw. He did not acknowledge the move. Instead he just focused more intently on Rusty, as if attempting to burn a hole in his forehead.

Rusty looked away first, giving Anton a small victory already. But neither man took the match for granted. Their competitor was tough and they needed to be on top of their game to win.

AND OUR NEXT CONTEST IS FOR THE HEAVYWEIGHT BELT! INTRODUCING FIRST, THE CHALLENGER, WEIGHING IN AT 203-POUNDS, WEARING THE SILVER TRUNKS, HERE IS ANTON!

Anton came to the ring confident and cocky, but not too much. He had beaten Ryan twice when no one had believed he had a shot. He had won two hard fought four-corner matches to get here. And he knew he had the skill and strength to win the title.

Anton marched forward and shadow boxed down the aisle. He looked ripped, thanks to a quick warm up in the back. In his silver trunks against his tanned skin he looked bigger than 203-pounds. He looked powerful and rugged.

Anton entered the ring and waited for Rusty to emerge. He knew that most wrestlers got only one shot at the title. This was his. He would make the most of it.

AND NOW, PLEASE WELCOME THE CURRENT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, WEIGHING IN AT 206-POUNDS, WEARING THE BLACK TRUNKS, HERE IS RUSTY!

Rusty came out proud and smiling. He had worked long and hard to get the title, having failed on an earlier attempt the previous summer. Rusty had his long brown hair tied back. The gold championship belt hung loosely on his trim waist, just above the sleek black trunks he wore tonight for his first title defense.

Rusty entered the ring and undid the belt. He slipped it off his waist and further revealed his sculpted torso. Every muscle on Rusty's body was hard and ripped, seemingly packed with power. The stud worked hard on cardio and martial arts to keep tight.

Rusty's abs were stacked and tight enough you could bounce a quarter off them. His pecs stood high and out from his lean frame. Rusty's shoulders were broad and from the back the crowd saw the perfect "V" that was formed to his trunks.

The champ looked tough and everyone knew that this would be a great match.

The referee brought the wrestlers together and issued his instructions. They shook reluctantly and moved to their corners, waiting for the bell to ring.

Chapter Two

The bell sounded and the wrestlers moved together. Anton bounced back and forth, warming up like a boxer. Rusty stayed alert, his feet not planting so he could adjust quickly.

Anton came closer and Rusty moved in. They moved in together and locked up. The muscle studs strained and struggled to assume control. Anton got low, pushing hard on Rusty's arm and shoulder, keeping himself long and lean. Anton did not want to be too close to Rusty, knowing of Rusty's martial arts background.

Rusty was immediately straining hard. He heaved and tried to maneuver Anton around, but it was no use. Anton knew how to block and this was not much different. Anton took control suddenly with a quick feint right and a pull to the left.

Rusty stumbled forward, right into Anton's waiting headlock. Anton slapped it on tightly and cranked hard. Rusty stumbled for a second then rose up. Rusty reached around Anton's waist and lifted, hoisting Anton up, over his shoulder and down in a killer suplex!

Anton's shoulders slammed onto the canvas, breaking the headlock and stunning him momentarily. Rusty slapped on an armbar and cranked it hard. He straddled Anton's waist to pin him down while he forced the shoulder joint to move against nature.

Anton squirmed, but Rusty held him down tightly. Rusty slipped Anton's wrist under his armpit and freed one hand. He fired two shots into the meat of Anton's shoulder, folding his hands carefully so that his knuckles tore into the flesh with maximum efficiency.

Rusty's fist could break two-by-fours, as Anton would attest after receiving two sharp blows. The armbar became a much bigger threat than Anton had originally assumed and he desperately tried to escape.

Anton slid his knee up under his body and pushed upwards, lifting and jostling Rusty. It was all Rusty could do to maintain the armbar, so no more fists rained in on Anton's shoulder.

Anton bucked his hips and got one foot down. He pushed up again and was standing. He whipped his hand towards him and it slipped from Rusty's grasp. Anton turned to charge at Rusty with a clothesline, but Rusty grabbed his wrist and hip tossed him over to the mat!

Anton crashed down hard and felt pain in his left arm to match the pain in his right arm. Anton sat on the mat as Rusty twisted his powerful arm cruelly. Rusty stepped forward and then fell back, wrapping Anton's arm in a scissors hold.

Rusty sat stretching Anton's arm at the side, twisting the shoulder and trying to bend the limb the wrong way at the elbow. Anton kicked the mat in frustration as his arm was abused again. Rusty was twisting hard, knowing that Anton's shoulder blocks and camel clutch required strong arms.

As champ, Rusty knew that he needed to adapt and be creative. He was right. Anton had not expected a submission wrestling style that Rusty was displaying. He had expected more pro-style with some martial arts mixed in.

Anton knew he had to adjust to counter these moves. If Rusty wanted this style, he could oblige. Anton knew about mat wrestling! Anton sat up and pushed forward, bending Rusty in half. Rusty held onto the armbar, but knew that he was going to be in trouble.

Before Rusty could make up his mind, Anton reached down and grabbed the waistband of Rusty's trunks. He lifted, using Rusty's own grip, plus his trunks, to lift him off the mat. Anton lifted Rusty slightly, then drove all his weight down!

Rusty hit from only six inches, but Anton drove all his weight on top of him. It was enough. Rusty lost focus and the arm bar was broken. Once his arm was free, Anton stepped forward and fell down, landing an elbow right into Rusty's midsection.

Anton rolled away, clutching his elbow. The elbow drop had hurt him more than Rusty, whose steel abs were unharmed.

Still, both muscle studs had risen and were ready to resume the battle.

*****

Chapter Three

The muscle studs circled each other. Anton shook out his arms, glad to feel them returning to normal. He looked at the confident champ and considered what to do.

Anton had a full-on abdominal assault planned, like the one that took down Dane. However, after his elbow drop, he was reconsidering. Anton realized that Rusty's abs were not for show. They were as hard as concrete and it would take a lot to break them down.

His back, however, was another story. Rusty's lean back was muscled, but Anton felt more comfortable that he could weaken it. He stepped in and got ready to lock up again. As Anton stepped forward, Rusty swung his left foot out with a big kick.

Anton was ready, though, and grabbed the leg, wrenching it hard and hip tossing Rusty over by his leg! Rusty felt shooting pain throughout his leg, especially his knee, which was wrenched hard.

Anton stepped on Rusty's right ankle and kept hold of his left leg. Anton twisted Rusty's leg hard, keeping the leg lock cinched in tightly. Rusty slapped the mat in frustration but could do little else as Anton stayed back, exerting himself to tear Rusty's leg apart.

Rusty tried to rise and execute some kind of offensive move, but Anton wrenched the knee every time he tried, sending Rusty back in the throes of agony.

Rusty reached back and realized he was only inches from the ropes. Anton realized this too, but there was little he could do about it. Rusty pushed his hips up and down, clawing his way forward. The movement put even greater pressure on his knee, but it was worth it.

Rusty gritted his teeth for the final push when Anton eased up and lifted his boot from Rusty's ankle. Anton dragged Rusty back to the middle of the ring, but Rusty was prepared for Anton's move. With his right leg free, Rusty was able to brace on his hands and push off with his right foot.

Rusty spun around, slamming his right foot into Anton's side and sending him toppling out of the ring! Rusty crawled back to the ropes and eased to his feet. He wanted to go after Anton who failed to brace his fall properly, but he needed to work out his knee first.

Anton had toppled over in surprise. He had reached for the mat, but when he braced himself, the earlier arm punishment came to the fore. As soon as his arms hit, they crumpled and he rolled out of the ring to the floor below.

Anton lay on the floor for a minute, recovering then forced himself to his feet. He looked askance into the ring and was glad to see Rusty walking out his knee. Anton moved to the apron, keeping his head down but his eyes up.

The referee was at three, but the count was interminably slow for Rusty. He felt stronger and wanted to get Anton now. Rusty moved in, closing to the ropes quickly, breaking the count. Rusty reached over the top rope aiming for Anton's brown hair.

Anton was ready. He had played possum, hoping Rusty would lose patience. When Rusty leaned over, Anton shot his hands out and pulled down. Rusty had no choice but to follow! He toppled down, head first, his feet flying over the top rope. Rusty tried to flip, but crashed onto the apron then hit hard on the floor below.

Anton immediately started stomping Rusty hard, driving his boot into Rusty's knee, side and shoulder! The referee yelled at them to get back in the ring. When it became apparent that Anton was ignoring him, he started the count.

Anton moved off and saw that the champ was struggling. Anton clutched Rusty's long hair and used it to pull him to his feet. Anton wrapped his arms around Rusty's chest and drove forth, slamming Rusty's back into the apron. Rusty groaned as Anton crushed him twice more.

Rusty went limp in Anton's bearhug as the hard steel of the ring frame ravaged his lower back. Anton's 203-pounds of muscles pushing onto him didn't help either.

Anton dropped Rusty and watched him crumple. The referee was approaching ten. Anton slipped into the ring, broke the count.

The referee said, "Don't leave this ring again. Wait in that corner as I count."

Anton smiled at the referee. He moved to the corner behind the referee's back. Anton flexed for the crowd and hopped back out to the floor below. He circled the ring, making a beeline for Rusty.

This was too good an opportunity to pass up!

Chapter Four

The referee had counted to two when he saw that Anton had rounded the corner. The referee said, "I thought I told you to stay put!"

Anton shrugged and reached down to grab Rusty's hair, which had been torn from its tie. Anton pulled Rusty to his knees, but rusty swung forth, slamming his arm between Anton's legs! Anton's legs drew together and he stumbled back.

Rusty pushed his hair out of his face and swung his head to clear it completely. He looked at Anton who was hanging on the metal barrier between the crowd and the ring.

Rusty used the apron for leverage as he rose. Anton saw him rising and knew he had to ignore the pain. Anton charged forth, but Rusty moved to the side, leaving Anton to slam, abs first, into the ring apron! Anton grunted and heaved, almost throwing up from the impact.

Rusty raised his right hand and slammed it into the small of Anton's back. He thrust his good leg up into Anton's abs and the kick was powerful enough to lift Anton off the ground!

Rusty grabbed Anton's shoulder and spun him around. He slapped two more chops across Anton's chest, sending Anton reeling backwards. Rusty hobbled after Anton. He pulled Anton to his feet. Rusty doubted he could slam Anton with his knee the way it was, so instead he grabbed Anton around the waist. In one swift, but painful move, Rusty lifted and turned, slamming Anton down in a belly-to-belly suplex.

Rusty rose and screamed in a combination of macho pride and rage. His long hair swept across his face, matted by sweat as he savored his return to control. Anton rolled back and forth as Rusty reached down to pull him up again.

Anton had presence enough to lash out, slamming his fist across Rusty's face. Rusty staggered back and Anton scrambled to his feet.

The referee was at eight. Anton slipped into the ring. Rusty darted across the aisle and slid in himself. Both wrestlers rose slowly and circled again. They were tired, sore and achy, but they were both focused.

As the wrestlers approached, Anton swept down, trying to up end the champ, but Rusty was too quick. He leapt over the sweep. Unfortunately, when he landed, the pain in his knee shot up and he fell to the mat in pain.

Anton seized the moment. He grabbed Rusty's foot and stepped over his leg. In a flash, Anton had positioned Rusty for a figure-four! Anton forced his foot over Rusty's ankle and fell back, cinching it on tightly!

Rusty went wild on the mat as the pain began. He felt like his knee was being torn from his leg! Rusty wailed as Anton cranked on the pressure. Anton knew this could be it. He put all the force he could muster into the hold, tightening it more and more.

Rusty was doomed unless he acted. Rusty rolled back and forth, using his arms to push to the side. Anton rolled to block. He anticipated Rusty's rolls for the next minute, blocking every one effectively.

Rusty fell back helplessly. He reached out for the ropes, but he was in the center of the ring. Rusty put his hands up and looked compliant. A smile crossed Anton's face as he saw the undisguised look of defeat in his opponent.

The champ was done, Anton thought. So did the crowd and the referee who was on top of the situation, asking for a submission. Rusty would not submit. He tried to go as limp as possible. When he felt Anton lighten up, he struck. Rusty rolled left then right, catching Anton off guard with the sudden move!

Rusty rolled them right over, relieving the pressure on his knees and putting it squarely on Anton's! Anton wailed in pain now. He reached back to unhook his foot and release his hold. But Rusty was ready. Rusty grabbed his wrist and pulled hard on Anton's sore shoulder.

Rusty pulled hard. He yanked back and pulled Anton's torso up. Anton was moaning uncontrollably as his knee, arm and back were all under pressure. The wrestlers were both looking out into the crowd as Rusty pulled hard on Anton's wrist and kept his legs tight.

Anton stayed in this hold for minutes, being worn down horribly. Finally he managed to reach out and grasp the ropes. He stretched as long as he could and barely touched them but it was enough.

The referee ordered the break and the wrestlers were untangled. They each rolled across the ring to the ropes, needing help to rise.

The match would start again.

Chapter Five

The wrestlers were exhausted, both sweating profusely and both hanging limply on the ropes. Rusty eyed Anton and the look was returned. Both wrestlers saw nothing but determination in the other's eyes and they steeled themselves for the rest of the match.

Rusty rose slowly, his knee aching. He had tremendous resolve and physical conditioning. He knew that he could outlast anyone. He just needed to put together the winning combination.

Anton had the same thought. He knew it was now or never. As Rusty drew close, Anton lunged forward to tackle him down. Anton's legs flexed in preparation then he sprang forth.

Rusty was ready. The football players always went for the tackle, he knew. He had wrestled other football players and it was always the same. When Anton sprang forth, Rusty pivoted, keeping pressure off his sore knee. He reached forth and clasped Anton under the arms. Anton's shoulder plowed into Rusty's midsection, but Rusty used his skill to turn them around!

The wrestlers toppled down, Rusty landing on top of Anton and crushing him into the mat. Anton lost his breath again as Rusty used his grip under the shoulders to roll Anton onto his stomach.

Anton tried to force his body up, but Rusty's 206-pounds seemed like 306 at this point in the match. Rusty reached back and drew Anton's feet forward. He rose and pinned Anton's feet using his shins. Rusty's legs had Anton's trapped. The best part was that Rusty could lean forward and use Anton's legs as a brace, thereby keeping pressure off his sore knee.

Instinctively Anton reached back to try and free his feet. Rusty smiled as Anton did this. Anton was making it even easier. Rusty reached down and grasped Anton's wrists tightly. With a sudden jerk he lifted up and back, pulling Anton's chest from the mat!

Anton moaned as his shoulders were stretched back and his entire upper body was hanging from them. His back was folded back, against its natural curve as Rusty leaned back. He had leverage and he had power.

Anton groaned in agony, a puddle of perspiration forming under him as he strained against the hold. Anton's knees were aching as Rusty had pinned them tightly. He just had no room to move.

The crowd was yelling for Anton to hang on, they wanted to see the match continue, but no one could think of a scenario in which it could. Anton had suffered back punishment and shoulder punishment. This hold was assaulting both.

Anton's head fell forward, signaling his weakness under Rusty. He could barely stay conscious the pain was so great. Anton moaned as Rusty pulled back harder. Rusty's face was red, his expression etched with his own pain as he strained to break the tough stud under him.

Anton's ripped physique was melting under the assault and for a minute he did nothing to resist. It was all he could do to hang on.

Rusty was smiling through the pain. He rocked back and forth slightly. It was the rocking that had beaten Dane.

Anton was no different.

The rocking started and moments later Anton was screaming, "I GIVE! I SUBMIT!"

The referee signaled the bell. Rusty released the hold. He wanted to keep it on but the pressure on his own muscles was too much. He had been stretched to his own limits.

The referee held the championship belt out for Rusty, who flexed for the crowd, then slipped it on. The Posse roared into the ring and hugged Rusty. Rusty waved to the crowd and flexed for them again. He was so sweaty that the gold belt slid low on his waist barely held up by his hips and large package in his clinging trunks.

Epilogue

Kevin signaled Stefan and Lance. The two men pulled Anton up and held him for Kevin. Kevin slapped his face to get him alert. Anton struggled but the powerful Posse members held him firm.

Bastian came charging the ring, followed by Doug, but they were overwhelmed easily by the tag and singles forces of the Posse. Steve went after Bastian. Steve was a frustrated Posse member, but his hatred of Bastian made him more than willing to defend Rusty.

None of the other heavyweights watching moved to assist. No one could be bothered to help these guys. There was still too much animosity in the air.

Kevin had Anton dropped to his knees after he delivered a series of kicks to his abs. Kevin waved Rusty over. He told Rusty what to do. Rusty grabbed Anton by the hair. He lifted him up and held him across his chest. Rusty walked to the ropes and waited for Bastian and Doug to rise after being manhandled by the Posse outside the ring.

When they turned, Rusty hurled Anton at them, toppling all three to the floor. The Posse members cheered. It had been a night of frustration so far and this victory lifted their spirits.

The Posse still controlled the most important title in TCCW. That was all that mattered now.

Kevin had Steve and Lance lift Rusty onto their shoulders. Steve was repulsed as Rusty's cocky, victorious ass hit his shoulder, the wet black spandex trunks rubbing on his bare flesh. Steve wondered how much shit he would get if he dropped Rusty, claiming he slipped. If he timed it right, he could drop Rusty on his knee, maybe even putting him out of wrestling for a while.

But he resisted the urge. Steve had seen Stefan become Kevin's number one when Luke had lost. He knew that when Rusty lost he could do the same thing.

All it took was patience - not one of Steve's strong suits, but he might manage it.

The Posse exited the ring and went to their locker room. All the non-Posse wrestlers had cleared out, not wanting any trouble with the powerful faction.

It was not a great night for Kevin but at least it ended well.

Besides, Kevin's Posse had lost titles before and always found ways to get in position for them again. He knew that soon his new number one wrestlers would be fighting for their shot.

And the rest of TCCW knew it too.

THE END
