Review: Butch.J vs. Stefan (Wrestlingmale)

After a successful first purchase from Wrestlingmale (reviewed here), I went back for more as soon as I saw this matchup. It features the impressive (albeit awkwardly named from a typing standpoint) Butch.J from that first match against a very familiar and very sexy stud. Stefan is his third moniker, but a stud by any other name still looks hot as heck. So, how did my second WM video go?

Beefy brutes Butch and Stefan battle it out.

Butch vs. Stefan is a smorgasbord of beef. Other than their age difference, these two are very similar. Both guys are hunky he-men with beautiful beefy bodies, beards and loads of muscles. Younger Stefan is hairier, adding to his sex appeal, but I'm loving them both in their tight little speedos.

Yes.

Who's got who? Stefan gets squeezed.
Butch gets bent.

Stefan checks out the new hunk.

One of the more interesting things about seeing guys at new places is seeing them adopt different characters. Stefan is a big beefy jobber at BGEast and Muscleboy Wrestling, but that doesn't mean he will be one at Wrestlingmale. It turns out that this Stefan, unlike his other personas, is quite capable of hanging with the mature, experienced Butch.

For some weird reason, the video starts with the guys chained up. I say weird because it's clumsy, cumbersome and they ditch it within four minutes without it ever really factoring in. Stefan makes a comment about it making things easier, but we never really see that. It might've seemed like a good idea, but I imagine it was uncomfortable and distracting.

Damn, that's impressive power.

Big Butch looks great helpless.

Those amazing legs do their work.

Once the chain is gone, this goes into a mat submission mode for a while. The guys roll around, shifting control as the grapple for dominance. This is where I realize that Stefan is a different guy. He not only holds his own, but he goes low, grabbing Butch’s meat for control (and fun, I'm sure). Things really hit their stride in the second half. The action gets bigger, bolder and better. One guy takes control, but it's still competitive.

Action-wise, there's a ton of mat work, plus some more pro-style submission holds. Those include bearhugs, a camel and a crab. Both guys suffer. Both guys are put on display. I think they're awesome looking, so I was all in for that. It ends decisively with a knockout winner. The loser only wakes up to skulk out of the ring in defeat.

It's tough to figure out who's luckier.

Studly Stefan stretched.

Stefan seems to enjoy being more competitive.

In the end, this was an enjoyable battle between beefy boys. These two hairy hunks might be from different generations, but they fit together really well. I enjoyed seeing a more competitive Stefan and Butch brings an exciting and unique persona.

So that's my take. What's yours?

Alex

  2. Dang. Great review and choice of screen shots highlighting each wrestler. Stefan aggressive? Heck yeah! That's enough right there to make me want to buy this. Seeing him in his jobber incarnations elsewhere it will be intriguing seeing him open up and use that big gorgeous body to whup up on someone. Woof!

    1. Woof indeed. I love Stefan. I get why he plays the jobber, but it's great to see him hold his own, especially against a gorgeous beefcake like Butch.

  3. I'm really loving how versatile everyone's roles are in Wrestlingmale. Everyone's on kind of equal footing so you get a lot more give and take. You can expect a guy to dominate for the whole match aside from a moment or two and be pleasantly surprised when he starts getting trounced.

  4. I like the touch of having "wrestlingmale" on the back of the gear

    1. It’s good branding and it’s worked so far, but I’m not sure how much I like the uniformity of it long-term or for every wrestler. Some guys bring their own style to the ring and I like that. Gear can tell a story, too.
