Review: Krush vs. Dimitri (Krushco)

I’ve been looking forward to Krush vs. Dimitri for a little while. Krushco has been basically pre-selling videos to fund them, so he’s been talking about this matchup for weeks. From the Twitter pics, Dimitri looked like a good match and I really liked Krush's last match against a Wrestle4aFee import Krush vs. Callum - reviewed here).

Welcome to Krushco, Dimitri.
Hope you survive the experience.

Now, I don’t know Dimitri and I have no experience with his other home, but I can confirm he's a cutie. He's got a smooth and thick body with meaty pecs, rocking tight green squarecuts. To compete against Krush, you need to be solid and strong and he is. I like how expressive his face is, especially when Krush is playing dirty (which is all the time).

I feel like people are less familiar with Krushco's videos. I have no evidence of that, but if you don't know what to expect, think the wild free-for-all style of UCW with mature beef rather than prim and proper fair play of Movimus. Krush is tough and talented. I'm sure he could be competitive with anyone, but he's still more than eager to do get rough and do whatever's necessary to win. Luckily, so are his opponents. These videos are less a tutorial on submission and more of a ruthless rumble.

Action-wise, Krush vs. Dimitri is intense, dirty and fun. This video is labeled as Cheap Shots 2, which is only surprising in that there's only been one previous 'Cheap Shots' video? I guess all those other videos with cheap shots didn't reach the level of cheap-shotting that this one does. Either way, this one is well-named. There are a ton of cheap shots as the guys go at it hard.

There's no preamble. The guys don't even complete a full circle of the mat before their locking up at the 12-second mark. From there, Krush takes control, but Dimitri learns fast. He's wearing long socks for some reason. Well, the reason is probably to introduce foreign objects into the match and that's exactly what happens. They're used for choking with both guys on the receiving end.

There's over 34 minutes of action before one guy is left unconscious on the mats, but there are always mini-rounds along the way, with each guy dominating. Sleepers, chokes and low blows make up the most memorable action, but there's more variety than that.

In the end, a winner for Krushco fans. It's very consistent with the house-style and Dimitri fits right in, giving as good as he gets throughout. I like seeing Krush dominated, because he has this air of home turf invincibility, but sexy Dimitri does look great getting choked and dominated.

What are other bloggers saying?

So that’s my take. What’s yours?
