The Cave 34: Bane vs. Cage 4

SATURDAY MORNING. BETTER BEAN CAFE. LOS ANGELES CA.

“Okay, looks like we’re finally done, Cody.” I check the time on my phone. Shit. Just minutes to spare. Between Cave business and party planning for my birthday next weekend, this took way longer than I expected. I prod my best friend, “Wow, look at the time. Don’t let me keep you. I know you need to run.”

Cody smirks at me, “Ry, here’s a pro tip on lying. Talk normal. You never say ‘wow, look at the time’. It’s unnatural. That means that you want to get rid of me. Question is, why? Hm.”

The Cave 33: Skip Pays a Visit

OUTSIDE MY HOME. LOS ANGELES CA.

“CODY! There’s my new best buddy!”

I turn. Smiling and waving at me as he jogs across traffic is a handsome 25-year-old, 5’8”, and 160-lbs stud. He’s white with brown hair in a military cut - shaved on the sides, about an inch long on top. His upper body is tight and chiseled, wrapped in a red tank top that says lifeguard on it. Oh god, I hope not. He’s also got beige cargo shorts and beat up Chuck’s.

Skip!

Heroes: Jungle Love (Part III of IV)

CHAPTER VII: REBEL!

DEEP IN THE AFRICAN JUNGLE.

“Korak, stop.”

The 18-year-old white jungle boy was confused, but when his best friend asked him to stop, he stopped every time. Korak trusted Mkuma’s instincts implicitly. The powerful Nagasu warrior stepped forward, grabbing his friend from behind. Korak listened but heard nothing unusual. Mkuma’s senses were better than his, but Korak knew this part of the jungle’s sounds better.

Korak

Korak finally asked, “What is it, Mkuma? What is wrong?”

“Nothing is wrong. We are far enough away, and I cannot wait any longer.”

“For what?”

Heroes: Jungle Love (Part I of IV)

CHAPTER I: CONFRONTATION!

A SMALL COLONIAL OUTPOST. DEEP IN THE AFRICAN JUNGLE.

“Finally got the guts to face me, Tarzan?”

“I am not Tarzan, Slade.”

The shirtless hunter sat up on the bed in his cell to get a closer look at his guest. He had been locked up in the large single cell in the remote jungle outpost for hours. There were only two guards at the outpost, and both were a mile away at Commissioner Barnes’ cabin, debriefing him on the capture of the notorious Slade. They were confident that Slade was secure when they left. It was twilight and the hairy hunter’s men would not try a nighttime rescue.

Slade. Hunter. Currently in jail.

The Cave Undercard 40: Blue Collar Beef vs. Valet

This is a companion story to the 7/15 story The Cave Undercard 39: Master Peace vs. Moneymaker. I tried to make it so it can be read alone, but your mileage may vary depending on your personal tastes and need for details.

THE CAVE RING. LOS ANGELES CA.

“Nice moves, Street.”

I pull my baseball cap back on, “Yeah, I know. Told you that. I didn’t need any tryout. Natural athlete. Wrestled in high school. Fought a lot since then.” I start to head to the locker room, “So, we done, Cody?”

The handsome 29-year-old replies, “No, we’re not done. There are just a couple of things I want to check.”

Cody’s acting all business, not charmed by me at all. I can respect that. I’m all business, too. Chris should've told me how hot and confident this stud is. I was thinking the guy set up this little wrestling league to be around studs. Figured I could work him a little and get some extra cash. Not so easy. Won't stop me from trying, but I wasn't ready for a man like this.
