In case you didn't see, I posted my 200th story this week. I feel pretty proud of myself, I must say. It's something I've been working towards for a while and was a bit of a distraction on top of a heavier than ever work schedule. Now, I can hopefully get back to chilling and watching some wrestling. I have watched a couple of review-worthy things, including Joey McCoy vs. Nick Flex from MBW.

As usual, I'm a catalogue behind with my MBW viewing. They've released catalogue 18 featuring a lot of amazing studs and even shared three matches from that one with me. I'll get to them in February, but there's still work to be done here. Brendan Byers vs. Joey McCoy is the last video I'm reviewing from catalogue 17 but in no way is it the least.

It's a catchweight classic.

Review: Scrappy McNair vs. Joey McCoy (Muscleboy Wrestling)

Of all the Muscleboy Wrestling matches listed on their 13th catalogue, Scrappy McNair vs. Joey McCoy was probably the most exciting for me. It’s weird that I waited to watch it and review it last, but that’s the way cookies crumble. You’ve probably already decided whether you want to buy it or not. And it has certainly been talked about elsewhere. Still, I felt compelled to post on it. Originally, it was scheduled for next week, but with catalogue 14 now up, I figured I should move it up to today.

The boys are ready for fun at MBW.

Review: Joey McCoy vs. Quin Quire (Muscleboy Wrestling)

I don't know if it's just me, but a lot of gay wrestling videos aren't great right now. I almost had nothing to review today. It's not because I have nothing on my hard drive. It's just that nothing was inspiring me. I've watched a bunch of perfectly cromulent videos, but none of them rose (or fell) to the level of being interesting enough (or bad enough) to talk about.

In a last ditch attempt to find something for a Monday post, I decided to focus my attention this weekend on MBW and BGEast, since they've been the most reliable so far in 2019. And it worked. I watched two great videos, starting with this one.

All right, boys, give me something to talk about.

Review: Alex Costa vs. Joey McCoy (Muscleboy Wrestling)

It’s nice to know that I can keep being surprised. Alex Costa vs. Joey McCoy looked familiar. It started familiar. Big hairy hunk versus much smaller boyish jobber is an age-old story. I own many versions of it, including Alex Costa vs. Armond Rizzo (review here), also from Muscleboy Wrestling. And yet, it wasn’t familiar. Thanks to two brilliant performances and stunning action, this becomes an amazing match that is (one of) the best ever with this story.

Alex is bigger and badder,
but Joey is a tough little guy.

Review: Austin Tyler vs. Joey McCoy (Muscleboy Wrestling)

Austin Tyler is definitely one of the rock stars of 2018. He's my go-to guy at UCW and his match against Nick Flex is one of MBW's best of the year. So when Austin Tyler vs. Joey McCoy was included in the ones sent to me at the launch of catalogue 10, I knew it would be one of the first ones I'd watch.
