AWL: The Adventures of Danny Chase 6

Summer Storm, Part 1 of 4

"Fuck, it's pathetic. He's like what? 100? And he still calls himself 'Danny'? Like a kid. Uh, dude, it's 2016. The guy is seriously stuck in the 80's."

I overhear Kwame laugh as he says, "I know, right? How hard up for cash is he? If I was a fat, old has-been like him, you couldn't pay me to waddle out in front of a crowd. The guy is still wearing the same trunks from 30 years ago. Trunks! Are you fucking kidding me?"

AWL: The Education of Jake Justice 6

Chuck says, "Fucking Colt. Losing to that punk ass little bitch. Shit, it's up to you, kid. I mean it, Jake. You've gotta beat the old man to protect our fucking honor."

I roll my eyes, "Right, Chuck. You really mean to protect your ass, don't you? Your mouth wrote a check and now I gotta cash it."

"Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean my ass. Kid, I don't wanna get fucked tonight. And I sure as hell don't wanna give up my belt to those NWL assholes. Damn it. I figured Colt was a sure thing against that beanpole. I never would've made this muthafucking bet if I thought he was gonna lose." Chuck slams a fist into one of the lockers, seriously denting it.

I respond sarcastically, "Gee, thanks." The implication that Chuck had no faith I could win just hangs there for a moment before Chuck realizes what he’s said.

Chuck starts to apologize, but I wave him off. I'd be insulted, but the fact is, Chuck is kind of right. Dick probably even chose me as his opponent because he thought I’d be easier than Colt. While I'm definitely the underdog here, I don't need to hear it just minutes before my match. I need to hear suggestions on how I avoid 1984 starting off in a really crappy way. I finish changing as Chuck paces, circling the entire locker room. I wish Colt was here to calm him down, but the last time I saw Colt, he was hogtied buck ass naked in the ring, fresh after being fucked by Justin. We should've untied him, but I had this match to get ready for. I assumed Chuck would do it while I got ready. Instead, Chuck came back here with me, leaving our friend to figure it out on his own.

AWL: The Education of Jake Justice 5

In the far corner of the wrestling ring area, I’m standing with my buddy and fellow pro wrestler, ‘Chainsaw’ Chuck Rollins. My name’s Jake Justice and I’ve been better.

I’m trying not to look worried, because across the ring are two of our current rivals, Dick von Winkel and Eric Kaine.

AWL: The Education of Jake Justice 4

“Well, well, well, if it isn’t three little bitches from the AWL.”

"What the --" My head snaps up at the insult, shocked to hear any guy here do anything but hit on us.

My name’s Jake Justice. I’m a pro wrestler for the American Wrestling League, the second largest promotion in the country. Until five seconds ago, I was just relaxing, enjoying a beer with my buddies, Chuck Rollins and Colt Hill, who are also wrestlers in the AWL.

AWL: The Adventures of Danny Chase 5

"I really don't get the problem, Danny. UH! UH! UH! UH! UH! UH! UHHH! ARGH! UH! YES! Oh fuck. Woo, for a second there, I didn’t think I could pound that last one out. Your turn."

With Rex finished, we switch positions. He straddles my head as I wrap my hands around the thick steel rod that hangs over my face. Before I start pumping, I respond, "It’s not as easy as all that, Rex. Yeah, it’s tempting. Shit, it’s $5,000. Of course it’s tempting. But it’s also a little weird, you know? UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNNNNNNH! Fuck, that felt good. New personal best!”

While I rest, let me catch you up. My name is Danny Chase. Or Daring Danny Chase to my fans. I'm talking with my best friend, Rex Taylor. We're both pro wrestlers, working mostly for the American Wrestling League and Men's Wrestling Alliance. We're at the AWL gym pumping iron, trying to keep in shape. It's early Sunday morning, so we've got the place to ourselves as we discuss what happened to me at the MWA show yesterday.

AWL: The Adventures of Danny Chase 4

Warning: This story includes heterosexual behavior. Reader discretion is advised.

Oh man, my head hurts. My mouth is dry. My balls are uncomfortably wedged between my thighs. I reach down to free them. Hm, it feels like I’m wearing a pair of my pro wrestling trunks. That’s unusual, but it explains why my package feels crushed. I work my junk into a better position. Ah, that’s better. I need a shower. I move my feet to get up. Wait, I’m wearing my pro wrestling boots.

When I open my eyes, I see nothing. Oh shit, I’m blind. Too much booze and I’ve gone blind. No wait. Everything’s coming into focus. There. I can see, thanks to the sudden glow from headlights through a crack in the curtains and a red digital clock. I hear a woman breathing beside me and it all starts to come back to me.

Damn, I had way too much tequila last night, especially for a Monday night. Still, it’s not every Monday where you just hand $5,000 of your hard-earned money to a couple of amateur loan sharks to save a friend. Okay, I remember being at the club, drowning my sorrows, but then it gets blurry. Where am I? I’m definitely in a bed, but the smooth, satin sheets and the perfume smell tell me I’m not at home.

I remember. Her name is Angie. She’s a ring bunny, the kind of girl who chases pro wrestlers. I know this because they're the only ones who recognize me as Daring Danny Chase from the AWL or one of the local indie feds where I work. I remember she started flirting, even knowing my current ranking as one of 1983’s top pro wrestling’s top stars (number 323).

I remember thinking that was a little scary, but I did get a picture this year and a longer write up. She kept coming on to me and I appreciated the attention. Did she get me drunk? Fuck, I think she did. She got me drunk and brought me back here. Where’s here? I don’t even remember getting here, but I know I didn’t drive.

AWL: The Education of Jake Justice 3

You Gotta Earn It

Damn, I never thought something like this would happen. My name's Jake Justice. I'm a rising pro wrestler for the American Wrestling League, the country's number two wrestling federation. Right now, I'm naked. I'm outside. I'm lying on a mat-covered wooden platform, staring up through trees at the open sky on a hot July night. I'm only 22-years old, but I can’t believe I’ll ever have a more perfect night than this.

Of course, I'm not alone. I'm here with two other pro wrestlers. They're naked, too. I’ve got my number one fantasy, Big Colt Hill, lying on my left, kissing my neck and another man I've dreamt about, Chainsaw Chuck Rollins, on my right doing the same. We’re at Chuck’s clubhouse, a secluded farm, just having finished a round of wrestling where Colt made me submit then made me cum in my first ever cockfight then fucked my ass.

I’m savoring all the attention as the new member of their private club. Finally, Colt rolls off me to the left, clearly exhausted from the heat and the action. The white muscle bear lies besides me at an angle, his huge legs draped over mine. He idly runs his right hand through my long blond hair. It feels nice. I reach my left hand onto his big right pec and run my hand over the hairy slab of prime beef. It feels really nice.

AWL: The Education of Jake Justice 2

"WHAT THE HELL, DUDE? WHAT WAS THAT BOGUS SHIT?"

I storm into the backstage of the American Wrestling League facility, having just finished taping the main event for next Saturday's television show. I'm fucking pissed and ready for a real fight. My target, Chainsaw Chuck Rollins, is already halfway down the hall, having finished his post-victory interview as I was being rolled out of the ring and helped to the back. Chuck just looks me up and down then turns away. He walks past the locker rooms and into one of the private mat rooms at the far end of the hall. Chuck looks back at me, daring me to follow him.

Chuck and I are pro wrestlers with the AWL, one of the country’s biggest promotions. I’m Jake Justice, a new ‘face’ (good guy). I’m only 22-years old and have been in the AWL only a few months, but I'm already mid-card and rising fast. I'm 6'3" tall, but only 225-lbs, so I need to bulk up to be a true heavyweight star. Still, everyone knows I've got the skills and dedication to go far. I’ve also got the advice and support of my dad, wrestling legend Jack Justice, which helps.

AWL: The Adventures of Danny Chase 3

Am I a masochist? And if I am, is there anything wrong with that? I'm wondering about this as I stand in the shower, where I've been for almost 20 minutes. I'm a professional wrestler, using the ring name Daring Danny Chase. I'm trying to wash away the memories of the latest round of abuse, which involved some added humiliation in this very shower room.

AWL: The Education of Jake Justice 1

"Holy shit, what a fuckin' dump."

It just comes outta my mouth when I walk into the office of the Nights Inn. I pull off my black Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, thinking that'll make a difference. It doesn't. Yeah, maybe I shoulda kept my opinion to myself, but damn. This place looks like the Bates Motel, only shittier.

The guy behind the desk obviously thinks I shoulda shut up, because hes giving me a death stare. Not that I give a crap what he thinks. Yeah, I'm a little full of myself, but why not? I'm Jake Justice, rising pro wrestler in the American Wrestling League. People there know Im one helluva talented young stud 22, 6'3", 225-lbs coming off my biggest TV win ever, beating veteran heel Wild Tex Buckner, and about to join my dad in a big feud with a big Russian heel he's been training.

AWL: The Adventures of Danny Chase 2

"Hey, towel guy, catch!"

I toss my wet, soiled towel at the little helper guy as he walks by holding another soiled towel. I'm sweaty, having just wrestled for 25-minutes in a reasonably hard fought victory in front of my adoring and appreciative fans in the Men's Wrestling Alliance.

Background

I'm a professional wrestler. Names Daring Danny Chase. 1983 has turned into a good year for me, financially and emotionally. I'm getting a generous share of the gate from my MWA matches and bonus donations from the MWA's wealthy, but discreet audience. For the first time in my life, my bills are paid, I have money in the bank and Im driving a brand new car a Camaro Z28 with Crossfire Injection. Its pretty sweet for a 25-year old who a couple of months ago was taking the bus and living off tips from a side bartending job, right?

In the MWA, my egos grown right along with my bank account. I'm recognized, cheered and celebrated. I'm the top guy, the main event, the stud everyone wants to see and be - fans and wrestlers alike. It's not surprising, given that the MWA is an underground fed that appeals to a certain type of clientele that likes to see a certain type of guy wrestle. At 6'1" and 225-lbs of All-American beefcake, I'm definitely that certain type of guy.

AWL: The Trials of Colt Hill 3

My name is Colt Hill. With my partner, Kirk Manning, I currently hold the tag team title in the American Wrestling League, one of the biggest federations in the country. We have national television and prominent stars. In fact, last year we were named the top tag team of 1983 by Pro Wrestling Report.

AWL: The Adventures of Danny Chase 1

The Side Hustle

My ring name is Daring Danny Chase, but you might know me as "That Guy Already in the Ring". I'm a pro wrestler for the American Wrestling League and have been for five years now. I had a good run for a bit, but now, when I actually make it on TV, the camera doesn't follow me down to the ring any more. I don't get any fancy entrance music. The announcers don't even acknowledge my existence until halfway through the match most of the time. I'm the face who just stands there waiting for the heel to come out. Then I get my ass kicked, mounting no offense other than ineffectual punches and a leap where I get caught, showing how strong the heel is. My Mom is so proud.

AWL: The Trials of Colt Hill 2 (Part 2)

Into the Ring

Kirk grabs my hair again and drags me through the curtain towards the ring. Several crew guys are starting to work on taking it apart, but they stop. Everyone from the back follows, of course. Nobody knows how this started, but they all want to see how it ends.

AWL: The Trials of Colt Hill 2 (Part 1)

The Dark Days of 1983

My name is Colt Hill and I'm a pro wrestler for the American Wrestling League. 1983 has not been a great year for me so far. It's been hard for me to experience a complete lack of respect for the first time in my life. When you're 22 years old, 6'6", 290-lbs of solid muscle and look like a younger Tom Selleck, you're used to getting your way. It's not like I don't work hard, I do. And I've had setbacks in my life. But one thing I have always known, since I was a teenage football star, is that everyone wants to be me and be with me. Now, I hear the rumors, whispers and even laughter at my expense backstage.

AWL: The Trials of Colt Hill 1 (Part 2)

Round Three

Andy’s still on his knees as I flex. He asks, “Why’d you stop playing football, kid? Right knee injury, wasn’t it?” Before I know it, Andy dives at my right knee. ARGH! My knee collapses from the hit and I’m rocked with pain. As I’m writhing on the mat, Andy gets up and says, “You stupid piece of shit.”

AWL: The Trials of Colt Hill 1 (Part 1)

The Challenge

As I walk down the hall after my workout, I’m hot and sweaty, my muscles pumped to the max. My massive chest is bare, except for the coating of black sweaty fur that covers it. I can’t wait to hit the showers and relax until show time, but then, as I pass the boss’ office, I overhear a conversation and decide to eavesdrop …
