Next Story Coming on 7/1

Guys,

A lot going on here and I have not been able to focus on anything blog-related beyond answering comments. I prioritize that out of respect for everyone who takes the time to comment. Beyond that, I am woefully behind on writing and checking gmail.

I have the beginning and ending of the next story done and all three falls mapped out, so I think it's realistic that I will finish it by July 1st.

My New Favorite YouTube Show: Bad Boy

Slight tangent today. 

I've discovered something thousands of people knew about before me. A YouTube series called Bad Boy that's been around since 2018, updating occasionally now. Why am I sharing this? Because it's my new favorite thing in the world. I think it would appeal to people who like the fun and lighter Cave stories. The story is tight, the humor absurd and I love Scott, the lead character. Like all great sitcoms, the side characters make the show. 

It's basically a series centered on a writer who gets embroiled with members of the wacky Jomas family.

Bad Boy started seven years ago and there are currently 35 episodes and they're slow to come out. However, Season One is done and forms a surprisingly coherent and engrossing 27-episode narrative ending on a really high note that wraps up almost everything before it. And the post-credits scene of the episode 28 holiday special has Santa Chuck (he brings you what you didn't get from Santa Claus but you have to stay in his van for 30-minutes with your pants off).

If you're looking for something fun, I highly recommend it.

“Nope. Nope. Nope. Can’t do it. I’m going back upstairs.”

I sigh. It was a struggle just to get my tag partner and best friend Taylor down here. I’m not letting him flee. I grab his wrist, “Stay here with me. I can’t do this alone.”

Tay whines, “Why are you making me do this? Why are we even here?”

CHECKING IN AT THE FRONT DESK.

“Enjoy your stay, Mr. Rekert.”

I nod, “Thanks. I hope to.” I pat the gold title belt around my waist, “With any luck, I’ll have two of these when I leave Monday morning.”

I sling my duffel bag over my shoulder. To get to my room, I need to cross the huge center area where the weekend’s wrestling action will take place. I pause and breathe. I’ve been wrestling for 15 years but I still get anxious before a big match. Being the East Texas Pro Wrestling heavyweight champion isn’t a big deal in the wrestling world but it gives me a title to show I’m legit.

Hi, I’m Taylor. That was an order to me. I obediently reply, “Yes, Sir.”

I crawl into the bedroom of our one-bedroom suite, an upgrade my friend and tag team partner Christian somehow flirted out of the short but muscular front desk clerk. Manipulating hot guys for free stuff is my thing, so I was proud of my buddy for going with it and getting the sexy dude to move us. With any luck, Christian will get to fuck the hunky clerk’s mountainous ass. I pushed him to go for it the whole walk to our room.
