Review: Austin Tyler vs. Ethan Slade (Muscleboy Wrestling)

Full disclosure: This video was sent to me by Muscleboy Wrestling.

MBW is teasing catalogue 14 on Twitter (it's now released), so I better get through the last two catalogue 13 videos I have. My penultimate review from this catalogue is Austin Tyler vs. Ethan Slade, which features two very different kinds of muscleboys. I’ll end with Scrappy vs. Joey McCoy on Thursday. That one has been been covered by both Ringside and W.R.’s Screencaps, but I just want to add to the gushing.

What about this match? Is it worthy of gushing?

It's pro vs. joe at MBW.

Review: Alex Costa vs. Ethan Slade (Muscleboy Wrestling)

Full disclosure: This video was provided to me by Muscleboy Wrestling.

I must be pretty predictable. Or just lucky. I bet you already know what I think of this video. And you're right. I loved it, but more on why coming later.

MBW must know what I like, too. I've already explained I was traveling when the latest catalogue was released, which gave MBW time to share some videos before I could buy them. They sent me exactly the three I would've been buying: Nick Flex/Aspen (review here), Derek Bolt/Quin Quire (review here) and Alex Costa vs. Ethan Slade. That's clean living for you.

Alex is back against another lighter weight stud.

July 4th 2018.

I've come to learn that there are a few iconic things about July 4th, US Independence Day. Flag-related showiness. Barbecuing. And fireworks. As I thought about what to post this year, I've done the flag thing before. I couldn't figure out how a food topic is relevant. Then I realized that wrestling has its own type of fireworks. I can celebrate with those.

So here you go ... wrestling fireworks. Dig in!

Matches can start with fireworks.

Or end with them.

Quick Hits: Justin Powers x 2 (Muscleboy Wrestling)

So I just learned that Justin Powers is also a porn actor. It's not a secret, but I didn't know. Muscleboy Wrestling copied his porn identity when they re-tweeted my tweet about my review. I kind of wondered who Aston Springs was, but I didn't look until recently. He's on Men.com, but I let my subscription expire since I was only returned there for the superhero videos last summer.

Anyway, why is this relevant? Well, first it helps explain why he's so comfortable on the mats. Remember I said I couldn't believe he was a rookie, because he was too good. Now I get it. He's an experienced performer. It also helps me understand why his videos are getting heavier on porn and in his latest, lighter on wrestling.

And so, I feel like I need to review these, since I've talked Justin up so much. They suggest a trajectory that is moving in the porn direction, especially against Sean Duran. Justin's matches are more expensive than most ($30), so it seems like something you should know before you buy.
