Review: Caffrey vs. Simpson (Thunders Arena)

Simpson: "I'm not just a prettyboy."
Caffrey (confused): "Who said you were a prettyboy?"

Rude.

Although, I get where Caffrey is coming from. Simpson would not my definition of a prettyboy, either. Muscleman? Yes. Stocky stud? Sure. Hairy hunk? Definitely. But a prettyboy? Nah, that's more Caffrey's turf, dude. Still, the exchange quickly sets up the dynamics of this Thunders Arena match. Caffrey vs. Simpson is a respect-free battle between two very different wrestlers.

Drama!

Review: Austin Cooper vs. Kirby Stone (BGEast)

Kirby Stone: "You talked a big game. Seemed like you had something in you. Instead, you're all stars and stripes and a stupid haircut."

Let me begin by saying that this match is not available outside the BGEast Arena yet. It's coming on catalogue 151 as part of a compilation curiously called "Big Boy Battles 2". I get that "Big Boy" is a subjective term, so I'll focus on the guys, not their size. There's a young Braden Charron vs. Mike Pitt, both of whom I like. The match with the biggest boys is Joe Robbins vs. Jeremy Tyler. And then there's Austin Cooper vs. Kirby Stone, which I decided to watch first. 

Kirby Stone finally gets to go all out. 

Mindsweeper Monday: Cruel Jungle

Chapter 1 - Our Hero

Deep in the jungle, the animals were anxious as the most powerful beast in the jungle passed by. Birds scattered from the perches. Antelope scurried for cover. The lions suspended their hunt and looked up into the trees, but before they could even raise their heads, whatever had caused the disturbance was gone.

Despite their anxiety, the animals had nothing to fear, for it was no beast, but instead it was only Tarzan, Lord of the Jungle, who raced by at an impossible pace. Tarzan made his way to the western plains. Five days ago, the safari drums had told him of some poachers devastating the land. The local Commissioner was investigating, but needed Tarzan's help. Tarzan had his tribal allies warn his friend to wait for him to arrive - but their had been no response confirming that he would in fact wait. It normally took Tarzan two weeks to cross the jungle, but fear for his friend drove him to move like a man possessed.

Review: Roger Atlas vs. Johnny Greco (MBW)

Full disclosure: This video was sent to me by Muscleboy Wrestling.

Two reviews in a row featuring a guy in USA flag gear. I used to assume that the red, white and blue meant jobber, but that might've been a BGEast thing with all-time greats like Wade Cutler and Braden Charron. Now, American gear doesn't really predict the outcome. Especially against a beautiful bearded muscleman in shiny pink! Woof. Roger Atlas vs. Johnny Greco features two hot hunks in gorgeous gear, but it's the action that ultimiately made this a winner for me.

I just freakin' love seeing Johnny on his knees.

Review: Captain Flagg vs. Assassin (BGEast)

I'm doing this review a little differently. I've watched this 34-minute video featuring two hot masked studs twice. However, six of the ten images come from two specific moments in the action representing just under five minutes of total video time. Everything that happens before these moments is important to making them what they are, but these are the two scenes that I just love, love, love. BGEast knows how to do masks and Captain Flagg vs. Assassin is a great example.

You need long legs to grab those shoulders.
Luckily, the Assassin is up to the task.

There are references to characters, events and matches that will not be posted here. Titles change hands, friendships and alliances form and dissolve, all without you ever seeing it.
