BOTWS 2: BGE v RHW v Thunders Part 4 of 6

Day 2 continues with three more matches ...

Battle of the Wrestling Stars 2: Part 1

Battle of the Wrestling Stars 2: Part 2

Battle of the Wrestling Stars 2: Part 3

Round 10: Joshua Goodman vs. Talon

Talon bounces in the ring, looking pumped and focused. His loss to Tyrell burns him up. He's only lost once at Thunders. The idea of going 0-2 is unfathomable. Joshua Goodman emerges from the back and saunters to the ring. He's got sunglasses on, looking ridiculously hot in an animal print poser. He looks at Talon with a smirk.

BOTWS 2: BGE v RHW v Thunders Part 2 of 6

And we're back with the second half of Day One.

Battle of the Wrestling Stars 2: Part 1

Everyone has one win, but can it stay this close? Let's see ...

Round 4: Dash Decker vs. Mitch Colby

Hoping to keep the momentum going, Zack substitutes Dash in for Chad at the last minute. Yeah, he's burning through his most talented studs, but Tanner's loss to a Thunders jobber hurt the team's confidence. He needs his less experienced guys to know they can win.

Review: Billy the Kid vs. Talon (Thunders Arena)

I decided to stop doing reviews on back-to-back days because it seems like too much. Too much for me, but mostly too much for you. I'm still in that “analyze and optimize” phase of blogging. In my year-end post last year, I mentioned that 2-3 days was optimal for posts and that's still true. However, obviously I've made an exception here.

Why? Well, in many ways, Billy the Kid vs. Talon is the match I wanted Beast vs. Talon to be. It's a fast-paced, hard-hitting bout that does more in 11 minutes than Beast vs. Talon did in 21. The domination is hotter. The action is better. And the guys seem more into it. Despite being more like a mini-match, I just enjoyed it a lot more.

Thunders Arena knocked it out of the park for me here. I'd definitely recommend this one. So instead of leaving a lukewarm review up for a couple of days, I decided to come back right away with this.

Big boys going at it hard

Review: Beast vs. Talon (Thunders Arena)

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of the Thunders Arena expansion into ring matches. It's broadened their talent base and the output has been excellent. When I saw Beast vs. Billy, I bought it immediately and I liked it a lot. So when Beast vs. Talon was released, it was a no-brainier to buy.

It's two smoking hot musclemen in ring action

Review: Jet vs. Talon 2 (Thunders Arena)

I don't often buy re-matches, but there are a few exceptions. Jet vs. Talon 2 is probably the most unusual one, because it doesn't involve one of my absolute must-buy guys. Yes, I like Talon a lot and I've enjoyed watching Jet, but once might have been enough for this pairing. However, Thunders had a sale, I had curiosity and I did buy the second Jet vs. Talon match after all. Boy, I'm very glad I did.

Review: Jet vs. Talon 1 (Thunders Arena)

More Jet today. This match I'm covering should not be confused with the new Custom Series Jet vs. Talon match. I'll be talking about it tomorrow, but I just wanted to make sure everyone understands that this is the first Jet/Talon encounter (labeled Special Edition).

Jet vs. Talon was thoroughly and lovingly covered by Bard in his May 2016 Homoerotic Wrestler of the Month post (posted here). I thought about just doing two Jet posts and skipping this one, because there isn't much to add and he pulled a ton of the best moments for his post. However, I hate wasting my work, so I re-ordered things and here we are.

Jet might be outmatched in this one

Quick Hit: Tak vs. Talon (Thunder's Arena)

I made this a quick hit because you likely already know if you will like this match or not. Tak and Talon are established wrestlers in Thunders Arena with strong and consistent track records. I don't think you will be surprised by either of them in this match.

If you like what they do, you will like this. If you don't, you won't. I do, so I did. There, review pretty much done, so enjoy the GIFs and images.

Boys being boys

Review: Vinny vs. Talon (Thunders Arena)

As I posted on Sunday, Vinny is back at Thunders Arena and I’m excited about it. I said I’d be first in line for Vinny vs. Talon and here I am. I actually shifted my whole schedule to post this review today.

So let's get to it ... just a warning - I tried not to spoil anything, but you might be able to infer SPOILERS in the text or images below. It's reader beware from this point on.

Vinny's back in Hulk mode

Review: Talon vs. Bucky (Thunders Arena)

Full disclosure: This video was provided to me by Thunders Arena.

Talon: "I'm waiting on some action."
Bucky: "What kind of action are you waiting on?"
Talon: "Whatever you want, I'm ready."

Oh Talon, you know just what to say to get my mind going. Of course Talon vs. Bucky isn't "that" kind of video, but I have a feeling this exact exchange will start one of my stories at some point. In this case, those words are the start to a new Thunders Arena ring match starring fan favorite Talon and newcomer Bucky.

Pro vs. Joe: Hair-pulling intensity

Talon retaliates with a boot to the throat

Regular readers know I've been a big fan of Thunders Arena ring matches, positively reviewing three already (Dirty Daddy vs. Marco, Dirty Daddy vs. Brian Cage and Johnny Bravo vs. Brian Cage). I didn't even know this one was out, but there it was from Mr. Mike in my inbox. I was going to hold back, but I watched a few minutes, got hooked and here we are again with my third Thunders post in 8 days.

Review: Jersey vs. Talon (Thunder’s Arena)

I’ve already teased my opinion of this match in my review of UCW's Max Ryder vs. Tyson Hammer, but I did want to do a full review. I prefer doing positive reviews and Jersey vs. Talon from Thunder's Arena definitely qualifies.

I liked this match quite a bit for a few reasons - the talent, the action (albeit limited) and the storyline are all on point.

The studs make this match. Jersey remains a go-to stud for me. His adorkable looks, body and personality return, wrapped up in his second best gear (red speedo). He also gets to show off some awesome power, with two long-held bearhugs and a nice full nelson. Jersey is having fun and I'm right there with him.

Jersey is still so hot
