Encounters: The Exit Strategy

Story done by request and based on synopsis by Alex R.

Encounters: The Exit Strategy

"Time to put this bitch down for good!"

Amid a chorus of boos from the assembled throng, Damien circles the ring, carrying their handsome hero across his chest. The 6’3”/215-lbs heel has no trouble supporting his victim’s 6’/195-lbs of muscle. He turns and leaps, slamming the battered body of Steve Houston down. KA-BOOM! It's been a long, grueling fifteen minutes, but Damien has finally gained the clear upper hand. He sits up and back then fires fists into Steve's body. Damien grabs Steve's arm, drags him to his feet then whips him into the corner turnbuckle. CLANG!

Review: Marcus Ares vs. Axel (UCW)

And here we are with the final of my Marcus Ares reviews.

Ares vs. Axel

This match is probably my favorite of the three. Both guys look great and Axel's gear really shows off his ... assets.

Patterned trunks obscure the view
So Axel easily wins the battle of the bulge

Review: Marcus Ares vs. Aron (UCW)

Welcome back as we continue to check out Marcus "The Spartan" Ares.

Checking out the new guy
I was rather effusive about Ares yesterday. While I think Ares is the hottest guy I've seen in the UCW stable, he still 'fits'. In fact, the only other groups where I can really see him fitting are BGEast, because there isn't a BGE 'look' and Movimus, because he's an everyday guy with a natural muscle build.

This match features him against the UCW veteran. Can Ares keep dominating?

Review: Marcus Ares vs. Quinn Harper (UCW)

I love it whenever a special guy comes along into the 'underground' wrestling world. You don't know where he came from or why he's doing it, but you're just happy he's here. These special guys just have 'it'. He stars in matches that I have to start, stop and re-start. Matches that I'll want to re-watch. A guy who brings it every time. A guy I want to base a character on.

Marcus "The Spartan" Ares is one of these guys for me. I think he's a transcendent UCW star, with swarthy good looks, an awesome body and a charming personality. He fits their style, but elevates their appeal. The stud knows his way around a garage wrestling mat, portraying an awesome dominating force without being obnoxious, off-putting or unbelievable.

The risk, of course, is that a special guy can be a one-taping wonder. He might do one match or maybe even a few filmed over a weekend. They'll be released, I'll get excited. Until they stop coming out. After a while, there's that moment you realize he might not be coming back, but you can't be sure. So you wait. And wait. Until reality sets in. And his 1-5 matches just aren't ever going to be enough.

AWL: The Education of Jake Justice 6

Chuck says, "Fucking Colt. Losing to that punk ass little bitch. Shit, it's up to you, kid. I mean it, Jake. You've gotta beat the old man to protect our fucking honor."

I roll my eyes, "Right, Chuck. You really mean to protect your ass, don't you? Your mouth wrote a check and now I gotta cash it."

"Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. I mean my ass. Kid, I don't wanna get fucked tonight. And I sure as hell don't wanna give up my belt to those NWL assholes. Damn it. I figured Colt was a sure thing against that beanpole. I never would've made this muthafucking bet if I thought he was gonna lose." Chuck slams a fist into one of the lockers, seriously denting it.

I respond sarcastically, "Gee, thanks." The implication that Chuck had no faith I could win just hangs there for a moment before Chuck realizes what he’s said.

Chuck starts to apologize, but I wave him off. I'd be insulted, but the fact is, Chuck is kind of right. Dick probably even chose me as his opponent because he thought I’d be easier than Colt. While I'm definitely the underdog here, I don't need to hear it just minutes before my match. I need to hear suggestions on how I avoid 1984 starting off in a really crappy way. I finish changing as Chuck paces, circling the entire locker room. I wish Colt was here to calm him down, but the last time I saw Colt, he was hogtied buck ass naked in the ring, fresh after being fucked by Justin. We should've untied him, but I had this match to get ready for. I assumed Chuck would do it while I got ready. Instead, Chuck came back here with me, leaving our friend to figure it out on his own.

Review: Jersey vs. Dozer (Thunder's Arena)

Let me state clearly and unequivocally: I still like Jersey. I liked him in this match. I like his body and look. I like his personality. And I like how he turns red whenever he exerts himself. Thunder's Arena is teasing a match versus Tak, which I am very likely to buy.

Why am I stating this at the start?

Well, because when I bought Jersey vs. Dozer, I expected to write all about Jersey. Thing is, now I'm all about Dozer.

AWL: The Education of Jake Justice 5

In the far corner of the wrestling ring area, I’m standing with my buddy and fellow pro wrestler, ‘Chainsaw’ Chuck Rollins. My name’s Jake Justice and I’ve been better.

I’m trying not to look worried, because across the ring are two of our current rivals, Dick von Winkel and Eric Kaine.
