Well,
Thunders Arena lured me in again with a special offer. I saved $7 on
Tak vs. Eagle then I could add
Brute vs. NJustice for just a few more dollars. I looked at the guys and thought, what the heck? Fortunately, it worked out as this was a fun fight with a big muscle pro pounding on a soft-bellied heel-jobber.

Yeah, you're in BIG trouble, new guy |
This is one of those fights that you likely already know if you're gonna like it or not. It has a simple premise and talent that will appeal to certain tastes. The two wrestlers here are both big boys.
Brute is one of the biggest. He's thick and ripped, weighing in at 260-lbs of rock solid badassery. In red speedos, his body looks great. Once again, he brings the scowl and attitude that makes him so engaging to watch.
The new guy, NJustice, is thick, but softer. He's a different look and body for Thunders, fitting their expansion into pro wrestling with guys like Joey King and Bucky.
The beefy boy starts out talking tough, bragging about destroying everyone at Thunders. Unfortunately, Brute shows up behind him and the destruction is on. From this point on, this is very much a replay of
Brute vs. Eagle Part 2, only longer and rougher. Brute really punishes the big talking NJustice, who takes it like a champ, remaining in character and absorbing the worst the muscular monster has to offer.
If you think about it, he actually does worse against Brute than
Eagle. However, while Eagle was trying to be serious, NJustice plays the cowardly heel jobber, with a persona straight out of pro wrestling.

Brute is as brutal as ever |
|
NJustice is a big boy, but Brute is a monster |
There's not a ton for me to say about the action. It's a 100% ass kicking from start to finish. It's 99% Brute on top. There is a bearhug or a couple of other random holds, but mostly this is stomping, pounding, choking and just a basic brutal beatdown. Every image should be a GIF, because it's all in motion al the time. The two beefy beasts never really stop moving for the entire time.
|
There are chokes |
|
And "no holds barred" brutality |
|
Lots of punches |
|
And more chokes |
One of the fun things about this match, like Brute vs. Eagle Part 2 (
reviewed here), is the tour of the Thunders house. You go from garage to laundry room to den to living room to patio then end with the loser being thrown into the pool.
Along the way, NJustice plays the clown a bit. I appreciate that, unlike some others, he manages to do this without unselling the premise or lessening his opponent. This isn't about treating the match like a joke where me wasting my money is the punchline. It's just about having a good time amidst the savagery.
NJustice hits Brute in the head with a flip flop. Brute hits him with a bottle of Tide. The patio and pool cleaning tools are used. A floaty thing from the pool becomes a noose. When NJustice is shoved head first into the dryer, he comes out with a mouthful of trunks. In the living room, he puts on a motorcycle helmet to protect his head.

A mid-match snack? |
|
NJustice tries to outsmart Brute |
|
Too bad helmets don't protect your gut |
|
NJustice: "ARGH! There's a metal bar there!" |
The Thunders house often feels like a frat house, but never more than here. During our tour, we see random guys just hanging out. One is in the laundry room. Another is playing on his phone on the sofa when NJustice crawls all over him. A third wanders past the patio door, just hanging out in a red singlet. It all adds to the feeling that none of this is unusual or unexpected. You just have a house of hot wrestlers where hot wrestling is part of daily life.
|
Random Guy #1: Look out, laundry guy!
Trouble is a comin' your way!' |
|
Random Guy #2: "Dude, you're getting your ass kicked." |
|
Random Guy #3: Red singlet guy doesn't
notice or care about what's going on |
So in the end, if you're looking for a fun and brutal beatdown of a beefy stud by a huge muscle beast, this delivers. It's not scientific. It's not complex. If this kind of match with these two wrestlers sounds appealing, you'll like it. If it doesn't then you won't enjoy it. Pretty simple.

I wish the older generation of TA wrestlers would make a few cameo appearances. Diesel vs. Brute or Dirty Daddy could be amazing. Seeing him or Big Sexy being manhandled by them would be so hot (and sweaty).
ReplyDeleteWell, I'd like to see anyone against Big Sexy. That would be a 'shut up and take my money' moment. I don't actually know who Diesel is, but I'll check him out.
DeleteSexy, short, kind of stupid acting muscle jock from the early TA days. He could be the bully, but he also could lose well (and his loss to, of all people Z-Man, is brilliant). His win over Big Sexy was very sexy, especially the traded bear hugs, and the arrogant attitude of Big Sexy in a Boston Crab. Diesel was great. Oh, and he sweat A LOT. That's always a plus with me.

DeleteCool. I always like Big Sexy and I've been happy with Z-Man matches.
