2023 Second Update!

Guys,

Another update.

I’m making good progress on stories for next year. And I will have a little extra content. Alex R. came up with a great suggestion that I should consider short stories. These would be more about characters and less about wrestling, but I think they’ll still be fun. I have two Cave short stories uploaded and a couple of non-Cave shorts started. (short means 6-10 pages, not short like a page ... I can't write anything that short)

Already written and uploaded for publishing … BEWARE ... BELOW THE CUT IS A DESCRIPTION AND IMAGERY FROM EIGHT STORIES ... IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHO'S GOING TO BE WRESTLING AND WHY, TURN BACK NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!!

January 1-31 - Heroes: Sentinel (16 chapters, one every odd-numbered day for the month)

Sentinel, the world’s most powerful hero, faces his greatest challenge ever: his 18-year-old son has moved in with him! The reclusive 36-year old hero lives on a personal space station that only he can get to for a reason. He likes solitude. Now, sharing his home for the first time ever, Sentinel learns some new things about himself. He encounters new heroes, villains, and henchmen, forcing him to look at his own humanity with a fresh eye. I would organize the story into three phases: Initiation (1-5), Exploration (6-11), and Escalation (12-16).

Superman image as the base)

February 6 - The Cave: The Road to El Paso 1 (Buck vs Jorge)

Wait, who’s Jorge? Riding along to help his young buddy Beau on the toughest journey of his life, the hunky farmer ends up facing this new character (a 20-year old aspiring pro wrestler) in the opening match of the latest Arizona Wrestling Extreme event at The Dusty Inn. It’s a back-to-basics story with two hot studs facing off in a stakes match. Buck narrates. Ben, Lee, and Beau all make non-wrestling appearances.

Buck / Jorge

February 20 - The Cave Shorts: Professor Maddox Meets Xaq

My first new short story ... a brief glimpse into Xaq’s personal life. It’s been mentioned that Xaq is studying fashion design in college. You know what he’s like as a wrestler, but what’s he like as a student? Take a wild guess. Maddox narrates.

Xaq / Professor Maddox

March 6 - The Cave: The Road to El Paso 2
(Beau vs. The Mountain)

It’s been four weeks (Cave time) since Beau was unceremoniously sent on an involuntary four-week vacation. He’s feeling more confident as he heads back to the scene of the crime, but a stop at The Dusty Inn leads to him facing a new character. As The Mountain’s name implies, the blond bodybuilder has a huge challenge ahead of him. Is this really what he needs the night before he faces his traitorous brother again? Doesn’t matter, because it’s what he’s got. Oh, and the guy in the t-shirt below? That's The Mountain's husband and manager, Tommy Gold. Buck narrates.

Beau / The Mountain / Tommy Gold

March 20 - The Cave Shorts: Bull meets Ash and Mark

Big Bull is a grizzled veteran pro wrestler for LAW, the indie fed that shares space with The Cave. He's not impressed when he arrives to workout on Sunday morning and finds two Cave "muscle punks" (his words, not mine) in the gym during LAW's scheduled time. Bull narrates.

Bull / Ash / Mark

April 3 - The Cave: The Road to El Paso 3 (Jeff vs. 'Lethal' Lee Evans)

The Arizona leg of the trip wraps up. The spotlight shifts to the main event ... the rematch for the Arizona Wrestling Extreme Heavyweight championship. Last time they met, Lee picked a fight, lost his belt, won a fuck buddy, and gained Ben's priceless advice and support. Now, Lee wants his belt back. Jeff wants Lee's ass again. The question is, who wants what more? Jeff narrates (which is why the editor feature in Word gave this story a 43% score, citing over 300 spellin' mistakes).

Jeff / Lee

May 1 - The Cave Undercard 34: Bird Boy vs. Valet

It’s been a few weeks (Cave time) since Valet made a bold challenge to The Cave’s resident muscle freak sidekick. Get ready for non-stop Xaqtion (get it? like Xaq+action=Xaqtion) as The Cave’s ultimate unreliable narrator shares his own 'unique' perspective on life, wrestling, and his match with the tricky twink heel. Three other characters guest star, but I'm not telling who or, more importantly, how.

Bird Boy / Valet

June 5 - The Cave Unleashed 15: Dunk vs. Kent

Kent and Duncan (Dunk) have been best friends since grade school. Kent knows as well as anyone how much Dunk resents his younger brother. However, for nearly a decade, big Kent also had secret hook-ups with that same younger brother. Kent fucked around and now Dunk’s found out. It's a best friends' grudge match! Dunk wants to kick ass. Kent wants to repair his friendship while protecting an even bigger secret. Oh, and did I mention that the kid brother in the middle of all this is Cody and the match happens in his living room? Kent narrates. Cody and Jae guest star.

Dunk / Kent

Keeping it moving ...

  4. Love the idea of these short stories so we can get a closer look at these wonderful characters and their lives.

Both Xaq stories are at the top for me but of the two the professor story will be hilarious I bet. I can't wait to see him in the role of a student.

I am interested in all of them, but especially your superhero story, the potential for some LAW vs Cave rivalry and big, gorgeous Beau!

    1. Thanks.

A little pressure there on the Xaq story, but hopefully it delivers! The LAW/Cave guys one was fun to write and almost turned into a full story. I agree that there is potential there.
