Review: Dash Decker vs. Chad Daniels (RHW)

I hesitated to review this, since Jose already posted his "7 Highlights" of the match. Eight days ago. With hi-res GIF's that put my low-res screen grabs to shame. I figured this would be old news, but then I decided I would share my thoughts anyway, because you can never have too much Dash.

I'm going to be potentially controversial in this post. **Gasp!** I've discovered something about myself after buying and watching ten Dash Decker matches. Here goes ...

What's bringing me back isn't Dash the unstoppable uber-heel. It's Dash the bodybuilder jobber.

Route 69 S207: Philadelphia PA

I'm like, "What does this mean, bro?"

Ben looks at the iPad, "What? That? Oh, two stars? That means watch out. Those scores are from past opponents and they're not good. I'm five stars. Codys five stars. Most guys I wrestle are four at least. There's obviously something wrong with that guy. Let's see. Well, he shows up and he looks like his pic. Well, that's good, but that must mean that guys don't have a good time wrestling him."

"Does it say why somewhere?"

"Jeff."

"What?"

"You're looking for trouble, aren't you?"

PSA: Bringing Sexy Back (Thunder's Arena)

Guys,

PSA stands for Public Service Announcement. I realize that with global readership, I should never assume things like this to be universally known. This PSA is to say that Thunder's Arena has a new (?) streaming rental service. It's $17.95 for a 3-day rental. I'll leave you to decide what you think of that. For comparison, BGEast offers 1-day VOD's for $10 and a 7-day option for $15.

But here's the reason for this post ... the rental page is full of matches starring a certain big and sexy wrestler, including the infamous bathroom match versus Z-Man, which was previously not available for download. As you might know, Thunder's Arena removed all his videos for sale and Joe from Ringside was asked to remove all reference to him from his blog.

Now, I have no idea why the reversal. Has his status changed? Did they realize that it's futile to try to hide these matches? Are rentals somehow perceived as different from sales? Will he soon return to active duty in the Arena? Will I be asked to remove this post?

These questions — and many others — will be answered in the next episode of ...

No, wait, that's not right. Sorry, Logo is airing re-runs of Soap, a comedy from the 70's. It's pretty funny and that's how they end every episode.

He is easily one of my favorites wrestlers anywhere, any time. So in honor of this event and since I have no idea how long it will last, here are a few of my favorite matches starring him, all of which are available for rental if you so choose.

*** WARNING - SPOILERS BELOW! ***

I normally work to avoid spoilers, but it's impossible here, because the endings are part of why I like a couple of these matches.

AWL: The Adventures of Danny Chase 5

"I really don't get the problem, Danny. UH! UH! UH! UH! UH! UH! UHHH! ARGH! UH! YES! Oh fuck. Woo, for a second there, I didn’t think I could pound that last one out. Your turn."

With Rex finished, we switch positions. He straddles my head as I wrap my hands around the thick steel rod that hangs over my face. Before I start pumping, I respond, "It’s not as easy as all that, Rex. Yeah, it’s tempting. Shit, it’s $5,000. Of course it’s tempting. But it’s also a little weird, you know? UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNH! UNNNNNNH! Fuck, that felt good. New personal best!”

While I rest, let me catch you up. My name is Danny Chase. Or Daring Danny Chase to my fans. I'm talking with my best friend, Rex Taylor. We're both pro wrestlers, working mostly for the American Wrestling League and Men's Wrestling Alliance. We're at the AWL gym pumping iron, trying to keep in shape. It's early Sunday morning, so we've got the place to ourselves as we discuss what happened to me at the MWA show yesterday.

AWL: The Adventures of Danny Chase 4

Warning: This story includes heterosexual behavior. Reader discretion is advised.

Oh man, my head hurts. My mouth is dry. My balls are uncomfortably wedged between my thighs. I reach down to free them. Hm, it feels like I’m wearing a pair of my pro wrestling trunks. That’s unusual, but it explains why my package feels crushed. I work my junk into a better position. Ah, that’s better. I need a shower. I move my feet to get up. Wait, I’m wearing my pro wrestling boots.

When I open my eyes, I see nothing. Oh shit, I’m blind. Too much booze and I’ve gone blind. No wait. Everything’s coming into focus. There. I can see, thanks to the sudden glow from headlights through a crack in the curtains and a red digital clock. I hear a woman breathing beside me and it all starts to come back to me.

Damn, I had way too much tequila last night, especially for a Monday night. Still, it’s not every Monday where you just hand $5,000 of your hard-earned money to a couple of amateur loan sharks to save a friend. Okay, I remember being at the club, drowning my sorrows, but then it gets blurry. Where am I? I’m definitely in a bed, but the smooth, satin sheets and the perfume smell tell me I’m not at home.

I remember. Her name is Angie. She’s a ring bunny, the kind of girl who chases pro wrestlers. I know this because they're the only ones who recognize me as Daring Danny Chase from the AWL or one of the local indie feds where I work. I remember she started flirting, even knowing my current ranking as one of 1983’s top pro wrestling’s top stars (number 323).

I remember thinking that was a little scary, but I did get a picture this year and a longer write up. She kept coming on to me and I appreciated the attention. Did she get me drunk? Fuck, I think she did. She got me drunk and brought me back here. Where’s here? I don’t even remember getting here, but I know I didn’t drive.

Review: Jonny vs. Kip (JonnyFirestorm.com)

I've bought quite a few matches from Jonny Firestorm's site. He's a wrestler I've liked over the years, whether as a boyish heel, suffering jobber, giant killer or beefy and hairy bad guy. However, I've missed some of his latest action, with him being mainly in BGEast and there being no option to download. So when he set up his own site with downloads, it was great for me.

I'm definitely a fan of Jonny

Regrettably, I've just seen that he has hiked all his prices up significantly ($50 for one match!), so I'm probably done with his stuff for the foreseeable future.

Heroes: Tarzan and the Twins of Tibor

Chapter One: The Escape

The two muscular young black men raced through the jungle as fast as they could go, branches tearing at their smooth naked flesh. In their 19 years of life, the twins had never felt real fear. But here they were, running as fast as they could, with one clear motivation.

Run or die.

They were sweating profusely in the African heat, breathing hard and struggling to maintain focus. They had been running for over two miles through some of the densest jungle in Africa. Each man wore only a thin lion-skin pouch over his sizable manhood, held tight only by narrow leather straps that ran over his hips connecting to another strap that came up between his powerful legs firmly lodged in the deep valley of his substantial butt cleavage. They had had no time to put on more covering or footwear or grab weapons before fleeing their hut mere seconds before the Council's warriors came for them. If they were going to survive this, it would have to be with their brains and the power of their mighty bodies.
