Mindsweeper Monday: TCCW 36-38

TCCW are wrestling stories from two different Yahoo! groups from the early 2000's. These entries were part of a much larger universe led by other writers. There are references to characters, events and matches that will not be posted here. Titles change hands, friendships and alliances form and dissolve, all without you ever seeing it. Imagine you are watching an Indy fed sporadically.

Note: You can find ALL (?) the stories by all authors in order in their original versions HERE - thanks for the link, Mangler!

Corwin and Jessie: The Challenge

Previously in TCCW, Corwin had revealed his dislike for Jessie. A challenge for a one-on-one match was issued and accepted. It was set to be a straight forward match, but other forces, with other agendas, have stepped in.

*****

When HB and Kane entered the locker room, Corwin and Jessie were facing off. HB and Kane started eavesdropping as Corwin asked Jessie for a favor. HB smiled as Jessie showed no interest in helping Corwin. The mild dislike between the wrestlers was now a full-blown grudge.

HB and Kane knew that Jessie and Corwin had a singles match coming up on Saturday's card. It was nice timing, since they wanted the tag champs kept as busy as possible. A week of training for Corwin in singles competition was another week they did very little tag work. Their rustiness was already showing, as they had lost convincingly in a non-title match to Keith and Rich.

HB and Kane had planned to use Jessie to hurt one half of the tag champs, even going so far as to lie about respecting them to Carter and Rick. The heels had no respect for Jessie or his loser brother, but they knew Carter and Rick would repeat how they had praised them. Now here was the perfect opportunity to get involved.

Jessie replied to Corwin's question, "No, Drew can't be at ringside."

Corwin put his hands on his hips. He was irritated by Jessie's obstinacy, knowing that Jessie was just being petty. He said, "Why not? You know full well that Drew would never interfere. Besides, you can have Jack. I hear his arm has healed."

"Look, Corwin, I know anyone saying no to you or your cool friends is probably a big shock, but get used to it. I trust Drew about as much as I trust you. If he isn't going to interfere then he can watch from the crowd. As for Jack, you heard wrong. Jack's still injured. He won't be at 100% for another week. It's not fair, not that you care about fair. Drew is barred from ringside and that's that."

Corwin let out an exasperated sigh. He really wanted Drew with him during the match, just for support. He did not want Drew in the crowd. "Be reasonable. Bring someone else."

Jessie stewed. He could ask Jeff or Sean, he guessed, but why should he? Again he refused. The wrestlers continued to argue as HB and Kane came over. HB said, "We'll stand with you, Jessie."

Jessie smiled. He said, "Thanks, guys. Okay Corwin. If you want Drew you can have him. HB and Kane will join me and Jack."

"Get real. No way am I going to be outnumbered. Nice friends you've got Jessie. Figures you would hook up with these two. But if this is what it takes for you to let Drew be at ringside then I'll bring another two guys."

It was that moment when HB got a wicked idea. He stepped in and decided to take over negotiations. HB pushed in front of Jessie and moved in nose to nose with Corwin. Jessie stepped back, unsure what HB was doing. They weren't really friends at all; in fact, Jessie had never even spoken with HB or Kane. He only knew that they had praised him and Jack to Carter and Rick.

HB said, "Look, Cor-win, you're forgetting that Jack is not 100%. Or maybe you're not. Maybe that's your plan. Probably the only way you figure you can win against a wrestler like Jessie."

HB watched as Corwin's face went red. Corwin wanted to explode but he was alone standing in front of three wrestlers that despised him. He stayed calm and quiet as HB continued, "Hey, I understand you are worried about losing to Jessie. You should be. But here's another idea. I think we can get more guys. Can you?"

Corwin was confused, "Sure. But why would even more guys change things? That'll just make the situation worse."

HB smiled, "Not at all, Cor-win. It'll solve everything. How about a good old fashioned Lumberjack Match? You bring eight guys and Jessie will bring eight guys."

Corwin did not respond right away so HB pushed his buttons. "It's okay, Cor-win, these matches get kind of rough. I guess it might be better if you just wrestled one-on-one and had no one at ringside."

Corwin stared at HB with hard eyes as HB, Kane and Jessie waited for his answer.

The tension was palpable as the wrestlers faced off. It had come down to a test of wills between HB and Corwin. HB challenged Corwin to make his match with Jessie a lumberjack match. Corwin was ready to decline when HB made him sound like a chicken if he declined.

Corwin scowled. He knew what HB was doing, it was painfully obvious that he was being baited. Still, he also knew that it would not take long for word to spread that he had backed down from a challenge. He also knew that it would sound like the challenge was from Jessie. He would not let HB have the satisfaction, especially with a challenge against Jobbie. "All right. Sounds good. We'll have eight guys each." The negotiations were completed quickly.

Corwin stomped off. Jessie turned to HB and Kane and said, "Thanks guys. I've got you two. Jack obviously. I know Jeff and Sean will help. They're mad at Corwin for what he said. And Patrick might help, that's six..."

HB said, "No way. Jack isn't part of this. You need better fighters on your team. And Patrick will go on Corwin and Drew's side. If you fly out, he'll never hurt you. Means they're already down one guy. We've got guys in mind. You bring Jeff and Sean. We'll get the rest."

Jessie just nodded. He hated to tell Jack that he couldn't be a lumberjack but with Jack's arm not quite being 100%, he would use that as an excuse. Jessie knew he probably shouldn't fall in with guys like HB and Kane but then he remembered Corwin's insult. Jessie smiled. Beating Corwin was worth almost any price.

*****

When Corwin told Drew, Drew was unhappy. He did not like his partner arranging dangerous singles matches while they were tag champs. Corwin sulked, knowing Drew was right. But HB had played him and it was done. Already word had spread of the Lumberjack Match. He could not very well back down now.

Corwin and Drew quickly rounded up their training partners. Damon, Daryl, Elton, Joey and Marcus all accepted immediately. Patrick hesitated. He was unsure if he could fill the role. He liked both Jessie and Corwin. Patrick asked, "I wish you guys could work this out. Do you really have to wrestle?" Corwin looked at Patrick and nodded. Patrick nodded back.

Patrick didn't want to see either of the guys get hurt. Instead of saying anything, he walked across the gym, seemingly to get water, but he was actually just upset. Elton recognized his friend's mood and started to follow Patrick. Elton felt a hand on his shoulder and saw Joey. Joey said, "I'll talk to him."

Elton nodded. Joey and Patrick were becoming close friends. Elton was not unsure how he felt about it. Patrick was his first and best friend in TCCW. Part of him felt that Joey was coming between them. But the other side of him realized that Joey was closer to Patrick's age, they sparred a lot since they were the same size and experience. While Daryl and Elton, the 21-year old studs, were hanging out more, going to bars and the same parties, scoping out the same chicks, Patrick and Joey felt left out. It was only natural that they would be friends.

Across the gym, Joey talked to Patrick for a while. Finally, Patrick agreed to be a lumberjack. That left Corwin with only one more spot to fill. He knew just the man. He knew he could trust him no matter what. In fact, Corwin didn't trust anyone more than this man, not even Drew.

*****

For Jessie's team, HB had no problem recruiting four more guys. He did it within minutes as all four agreed right away. HB's big problem came when he told them about the each other. He had his work cut out for him convincing them to all be at ringside together.

Corwin versus Jessie: Introducing the Lumberjacks

The lumberjacks came out first. The crowd cheered. It was an exciting sight to see 16 of TCCW's best guys surround the ring.

They were introduced individually, each one emerging as their names were called. As Corwin's team came out, they took their places. Neither team knew whom they would be facing, although both sides had made some educated guesses.

Since the lumberjacks were not meant to be competitors, they did not announce anything other than their names. But this was still a high-profile event and they wanted to get the crowd pumped. Having them come out one by one was a great way to build the suspense.

INTRODUCING THE FIRST SET OF LUMBERJACKS. LINING THE NORTH SIDE, HERE THEY ARE! FIRST, LET'S WELCOME DARYL!

Daryl came charging out. His muscular chest was bare as he trotted forward in loose fitting black nylon pants with the drawstring tied tightly around his trim waist. He wore his black wrestling shoes, wanting to be ready, just in case he needed to get into something.

Daryl was positioned on the northwest corner. This was the furthest position from Corwin in the northeast corner. Daryl wanted this spot. It put him right beside enemy territory. If any of Jessie's lumberjacks tried to come over, Daryl was the first line of defense. That alone would make guys think twice.

BESIDE DARYL, HERE IS ELTON!

To add to the intimidation factor, Elton was positioned right beside Daryl. The combination of the two studs would ensure the peace was kept.

Elton came out in baggy blue jeans and running shoes. He didn't look it, but he was dressed to rumble. Elton hoped HB and Kane were beside him and Daryl. He and Daryl had discussed how they would love for the former tag champs to cross the line and challenge them.

NEXT UP, PLEASE PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER FOR JOEY!

The crowd roared as Joey sauntered out shirtless in bright orange knee-length jams. He had on matching orange amateur-style wrestling boots. Joey's thin but muscled torso was deeply tanned and the bright orange stood out like a beacon. Joey waved to the crowd and took his place next to Elton.

AND THE FINAL LUMBERJACK ON THE NORTH SIDE IS PATRICK!

As usual, Patrick came charging out of the back running at the ring at full speed. He came out in a tight fitting gray tee and khaki shorts. He wore running shoes on his feet. He slid into the ring and raised his arms, getting the crowd to their feet. He charged ropes and vaulted over the top rope to the floor below. He took his place beside Corwin's corner. The crowd was even more electrified by his excitement.

NOW, FOR THE EASTSIDE, HERE ARE DAMON AND MARCUS!

Damon trotted out in red workout shorts and black wrestling boots. He wanted to be ready for battle. He took his assigned place beside Patrick on the other side of the ring post.

Marcus came out dressed in his black workout shorts and black boots. He turned and flexed for the crowd on his side of the ring. He was short, but he was built like a rock. His firm pecs bounced as he showed off for the assembled throng. Damon smiled at his partner's cockiness. It was easy to be cocky when you would be standing around for thirty minutes. Neither lumberjack expected much action.

The crowd was anxious. Drew had not emerged yet but they all knew one of their favorite studs was coming. He had to be!

The crowd was anxious. Drew had not emerged yet but they all knew one of their favorite studs was coming. The crowd was right and their pent up excitement was about to explode. The very next name, Corwin's seventh lumberjack was his partner, Drew.

NEXT UP, LET'S ALL WELCOME DREW!

Drew came out to a thunderous ovation. He wore his small loincloth and wrestling boots, just as if he would be wrestling. Damon and Marcus might not have been expecting action but Drew was. He wanted to be ready.

As he trotted to the ring, his tightly muscled body bounced. He flexed for the crowd, eager to get them on side. Both he and Corwin felt they drew strength from the crowd's support. They craved it. Drew knew that with HB and Kane on the opposite corner, Jessie was sure to be the villain.

THE FINAL LUMBERJACK ON THE EAST SIDE IS MAKING HIS FIRST APPEARANCE IN TCCW. HERE IS CORWIN'S OWN BROTHER, DEAN!

A loud muttering went through the crowd. They had no idea Corwin had a wrestling brother. Dean emerged and the crowd went crazy. He was like a larger Corwin. The lumberjack was obviously older and he was clearly a heavyweight.

Dean came out in a small loincloth similar to Corwin and Drew's. The family resemblance was clear. Dean was a muscular, blond stud with hunk-next-door good looks. He was well put together. Corwin had invited him to TCCW and this was his first action. He looked forward to helping his little brother.

Dean had vowed that if any of Jessie's friends got out of hand, he would take them down. Dean had no fear of other wrestlers. He had wrestled for a while, just not in TCCW.

Dean had felt protective over Corwin for years. Like all older brothers, he had been through many of the same situations Corwin was going to go through. Dean had not anyone to help and support him, so he wanted Corwin to have someone he could trust and confide in. The brothers had an unbreakable bond.

Dean reached his place, on the eastside beside the southeast corner. He would be right beside one of Jessie's lumberjacks. Dean was excited. He had heard all about Jessie, HB and Kane from his brother.

Corwin's team had employed the strategy of putting their strongest members on the corners. They wanted to keep HB and Kane at bay, if necessary. Dean and Drew were anxious for the devious tag team to try something. Like Elton and Daryl, they hoped that they would get to be next to HB and Kane.

Jessie's lumberjacks came in next. HB and Kane had taken great care in devising their strategy.

The crowd was really pumped now. They were excited to see the collection of studs supporting Corwin. And seeing Dean for the first time in a matching loincloth got many of the crowd excited. Jessie's lumberjacks came in next. HB and Kane had taken great care in devising their strategy.

AND NOW, THE WEST SIDE. STARTING OUT IN THE NORTHWEST CORNER, HERE ARE SEAN AND JEFF!

Sean trotted out to applause. People had enjoyed the match with Carter and Rick. Sean wore jeans and a white tank top. He smiled and waved, taking his place beside Daryl.

Daryl and Elton were disappointed. They knew Sean and Jeff would not probably come over. Daryl and Elton settled in for a boring match.

Jeff came in behind his partner wearing jeans and a white tank top, just like Sean. The partners hugged and waited for the next two lumberjacks on Jessie's team to be introduced.

WELCOME THE OTHER LUMBERJACKS ON THE WESTSIDE, HERE ARE ARI AND CARL!

The crowd erupted into a chorus of boos! No one could believe that two of the biggest thugs in the league would be beside good guys like Jeff and Sean.

The thugs came out in black tank tops that showed off their muscles and tattoos. They wore black jeans and black running shoes. They flexed for the crowd, enjoying the enmity. They had set out to be bad cops and had obviously succeeded. Carl and Ari hoped that Corwin came out to them early and often.

AND BESIDE THEM, FIRST ON THE SOUTH SIDE IS KANE AND BESIDE HIM, HB!

Kane walked in to a mixture of boos and claps. He was more popular than his partner HB, mainly because of his performance in the Battle Royal and the honor shown in his match with Zack. Still, many people knew he was tough and ruthless. Kane was a heavyweight in a middleweight's body.

As Kane settled in and HB emerged, the boos grew. HB was a major villain for this crowd. HB emerged and walked slowly to his spot. He shook hands with Jeff, Sean, Carl and Ari. He ignored the crowd and settled into his place.

Carl, Ari, HB and Kane were flanking Jessie's corner. There were only two spots left. Everyone wondered who the final two could be.

Drew was as anxious as anyone in the room was. Especially when he looked at the crowd behind Jessie's corner.

Jack was sitting in the crowd. Drew had always assumed Jack would be a lumberjack. Now he wasn't. That gave Drew an uneasy feeling as the announcer quieted the crowd down for the final two names.

Everyone watched the curtain in anticipation. They wondered who the final two lumberjacks were. Across the ring, Drew was wondering too, especially since he knew Jack was sitting out.

AND YOUR FINAL TWO LUMBERJACKS ARE ... CARTER AND ...

Before the announcer could finish, the crowd erupted with an incredible roar! Drew was surprised as Carter got an ovation as loud as his own. How could he be this popular this fast? And why would he stand with Jessie, HB and Kane if he and Rick were fan favorites?

The crowd cheered. They had thought maybe another rough and tumble team would emerge and were surprised Carter and Rick, the wrestlers who had fought so bravely in their first two matches and fought so fairly in their third, would stand with HB and Kane.

Carter came trotting out in his beige Speedo. His entrance took a while as he stopped to shake hands and mix with the crowd. He shook hands with Jeff and Sean, ignored Carl and Ari, then shook hands with HB and Kane.

The crowd realized what this meant. The announcer tried to quiet them down. He finally did. He knew what they were wondering ... could the last lumberjack be ...

NOW, LET ME FINISH. FILLING OUT THE SOUTH SIDE, HERE IS OUR FINAL LUMBERJACK, HERE IS ... The crowd screamed before the announcer could. They shouted Rick's name as he came out in his tight white Speedo.

Drew was stunned as Rick got an even louder ovation than he had. Unknown to Drew, part of this was because Drew had been expected, everyone knew that he would be at ringside, but no one expected Jessie to recruit major studs like Carter and Rick. The crowd kept cheering wildly as Rick emerged wearing his brief white Speedo. He marched dutifully to his place on the other side of the ring post from Dean.

Drew was mildly disappointed that HB or Kane was not there. Having only seen the first match the cousins wrestled, he knew very little of Rick and Carter. Dean and Drew eyed Rick carefully. Rick, for his part, ignored them instead shaking hands with the crowd, smiling shyly and speaking to his many admirers.

Dean leaned into Drew and said, "Who are they and why are they so popular? I mean, other than the obvious."

Drew shrugged. He had no idea but he wasn't happy. He knew it would be jarring for Corwin if he wasn't the overwhelming crowd favorite.

*****

A week prior, HB had recruited Carter and Rick first. When he told them that Carl and Ari were going to be the other two, they freaked. HB calmed them down and explained why.

Carter said, "Look HB, you're our friend, but this is a lot to ask." HB talked to them for an hour, trying to persuade them he was right. Finally, Carter said, "We like Jessie. We will be there for HIM. But don't put us near those two thugs. Got it?"

HB nodded. His team was set. Now all he needed to do was coach Jessie on how to win a Lumberjack Match.

*****

Now that the Lumberjacks were set, it was time for the main competitors. Everyone turned to the curtain, anxious to see the combatants!

THIS MATCH IS A LUMBERJACK MATCH, NO TIME LIMIT, SUBMISSION ONLY. PINFALLS WILL NOT COUNT.

INTRODUCING FIRST, WEARING THE LOINCLOTH, HERE IS ONE HALF OF THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, WEIGHING IN AT 162 POUNDS ... CORWIN!

From the back, Corwin came charging out. The crowd erupted with roars of approval as the young blond champion jogged to the ring.

Corwin looked calm and confident as he approached the ring. As he approached the south side of the ring, he ignored HB and Kane, jogging by Carter and Rick, who gave him a wide berth.

Corwin hugged his brother and their resemblance became even clearer. Corwin then hugged Drew. He shook hands with the rest of his lumberjacks before sliding into the ring and waving to the crowd. He flexed his lean, cut muscles for the appreciative audience, letting take a look at his ripped torso, rippling abs and heaving pecs.

Corwin's tanned body positively glowed under the lights of the arena and his bright white smile shone like a beacon from the ring. The more the crowd clapped, the broader his smile got. Corwin loved the adulation and the appreciation.

He settled into his corner as the announcer started with the next introduction.AND HIS OPPONENT, WEIGHING IN AT 170 POUNDS, WEARING THE BLACK TRUNKS, HERE IS JESSIE!

The crowd applauded politely for Jessie but it was obvious who the favorite was. Jessie walked out and waved. He also looked calm, which was surprising given their record and the fact that he had never been in any kind of "big" match.

Jessie came up to the south side of the ring and shook hands with his lumberjacks. He turned to find Jack and waved to his brother. Jack smiled and shouted Jessie's name with enthusiasm. Jack was disappointed that he was not a lumberjack but he would never show it. He knew that Jessie would have had him at ringside if his arm were fully healed.

Jessie was happy Jack was taking it so well. HB had been so insistent about not including Jack that Jessie actually felt really lucky that Jack's arm was hurt. Jessie ran around the ring and shook hands with Jeff and Sean. Carl and Ari shook his hand, although they looked less than thrilled to do so.

HB had drilled a lot of things into Jessie's head. One of them was important now. Jessie caught Patrick's eye and waved to him. Jessie also waved to Damon and Marcus, with whom he and Jack had trained for three weeks. They all waved back and smiled. All three of them liked Jessie. HB had encouraged Jessie to remind them of that.

Jessie hopped into the ring and waited in his corner. He was a good-looking kid; his brown hair was sun-lightened to dirty blond. His tanned body was solid and he packed a good amount of muscle.

The ref made the wrestlers shake hands, which they did reluctantly. But neither wanted to look like bad sports. The ref did a tour of the lumberjacks, reminding them that their duty was to bring the wrestlers back into the ring. They were not to doing anything else.

All 16 lumberjacks agreed, but four of them had other plans. HB, Kane, Carl and Ari knew that it was easy to inflict a little damage and get involved as lumberjacks. None of the four would be satisfied unless Corwin had felt their presence.

Corwin (MW) versus Jessie (MW)

Jessie and Corwin faced off. Both wrestlers were focused on winning, but for different reasons.

Corwin felt that he had to win fast and win convincingly. He was one of the tag team champions, a titleholder in TCCW. That meant a lot. He knew that every single competitor in TCCW who could watch this match was watching from the crowd. Corwin's weakness would be seen as a team weakness.

Jessie merely wanted to win to embarrass Corwin and get a measure of revenge on the young Tarzan wannabe. Corwin had humiliated him by calling him Jobbie in the locker room. Guys like Alan, Greg, Keegan and Ross doing it was no big deal. They had nicknames for everyone, most of them insulting. But everyone knew that Jessie had trained with Corwin and Drew for weeks. If Corwin called him Jobbie it meant something.

Jessie raised his hands for a contest of strength. He wanted to put Corwin down and take him to his knees. Jessie was shorter than Corwin was but he was bigger. Both wrestlers had solid arms with hard round biceps that held a lot of gym-built muscle power.Corwin reached up to meet Jessie's hands. He was wary, feeling like he was being taken out of his game plan already. Corwin wanted lock ups and takedowns. But Corwin's pride would not allow him to turn down a strength challenge from Jessie.

The wrestlers locked their large hands together. They moved slowly and cautiously. Their long fingers flexed and time seemed to move slowly for both wrestlers as they prepared to begin this battle.

With their hands locked, Corwin and Jessie looked at each other. Their eyes met and electricity seemed to fly. BOOM! At once, they both started pressing hard, each trying to gain the upper hand. The veins in their taut arms and tight shoulders pulsed with every ounce of adolescent adrenaline and testosterone they could produce.

The wrestlers struggled and strained, neither wrestler gaining the advantage. On the outside of the ring, Drew was calling out to Corwin, using their tag strategy of signals, but it was pointless because all 16 lumberjacks were screaming and so was the crowd. Drew was frustrated and it was obvious on his face. HB made sure that Jessie's lumberjacks kept yelling, drowning out Drew's voice.

Corwin and Jessie could hear nothing anyway. They were too busy forcing their will on each other. The crowd was getting anxious. Corwin had not yet been able to dominate the young jobber. Jessie twisted his hands and moved his feet, keeping Corwin off-balance. Rick had taught him a couple of interesting ways to handle a contest of strength against a strong opponent.

Both wrestlers were starting to glow as the strain was wearing on them. Beads of perspiration ran down their foreheads, stinging their eyes, but neither would allow themselves to be distracted. Corwin's face was red and he was grunting, trying for anything that would give him a leg up. Jessie was breathing hard, but he was in no rush to put Corwin down. He felt no pressure to beat Corwin, everyone thought he would lose. Jessie knew Corwin was strong for his size, but so was he. Jessie thought he might even have an endurance advantage.

The longer this went on, the louder the crowd got. Jessie was facing HB and Corwin was facing Patrick but their eyes were locked on each other. Finally, Jessie slipped and Corwin got a slight advantage. The crowd began to cheer.

In response, HB hopped up on the apron as did Carl and Ari. They flexed for the crowd. The ref turned to get them off the apron and the crowd started booing.

The crowd booing is EXACTLY what HB wanted!

The crowd was booing the sight of HB, Carl and Ari on the ring apron. HB was getting exactly what he wanted, exactly what he planned.

At that moment, Corwin felt like he could put Jessie down. Then he heard the crowd shift from cheers to jeers. Corwin fed off the crowd. In the back of his mind he was surprised they would boo his advantage. As he thought about this in the back of his mind, this small distraction was enough to give Jessie time to get himself back to even!

Jessie muscled back up. He shifted his grip and drove forward! Jessie's lean torso smashed into Corwin's hard muscles. They grunted and kept up the pressure. This was turning into a marathon! Jessie and Corwin's arms continued to strain as their torsos clashed together.

Jessie leaned into it and Corwin's wrists started to buckle. The tag champ was helpless to stop Jessie as he bent his hands back, forcing them down. Once Jessie gained the advantage, he quickly forced Corwin to his knees!

The crowd gasped as the tag champ was reduced to kneeling before the tag jobber! Jessie pressed hard, savoring his moment of victory over TCCW's Tarzan. But Corwin knew that one battle does not make the war. Jessie's pleasure at taking down Corwin left him open. Corwin drove his shoulder forward into Jessie's abs. Jessie released his grip and took a step back. From his knees, Corwin delivered two hard rights into Jessie's mid-section.

Jessie gasped as Corwin got to his feet. Corwin leveled two hard forearms into Jessie's head and sent him back into the corner. Corwin grabbed Jessie's wrist. He threw Jessie front first towards the corner and charged after him! Corwin was going to splash Jessie into next week!

Jessie charged into the corner. He managed to get his hands out and stop himself from slamming into the corner. Jessie jumped up, using the top rope as leverage, and lifted his legs high into the air. Corwin had been chasing right behind him. As Jessie did his move, Corwin was unable to react in time! He ran right under Jessie and slammed front first into the corner, the ring actually shaking from the impact!

Jessie landed perfectly behind Corwin. He held onto the ropes and used them to drive himself forward, squashing Corwin between his hard body and the turnbuckle. Jessie moved back and landed two hard kidney punches, causing Corwin to cry out in pain.

Jessie knew that he had to take advantage of Corwin's mistake. He spun Corwin around and slammed his back hard into the corner. Jessie planted two solid fists into Corwin's abs, then grabbed his wrist and flung Corwin into the opposite corner!

Corwin ran front first at the corner. As he did, he put his arms out and mimicked Jessie's move! Like Corwin before him, Jessie was charging in behind. But unlike Corwin, Jessie was ready for the counter. He was a little surprised Corwin would try the move after he, Jessie, had just done it. Outside the ring, Drew sighed. He knew that Corwin was trying too hard to prove he was better than Jessie was.

With Corwin in the air, Jessie ran under him. But instead of crashing into the turnbuckle, Jessie stopped and grabbed Corwin around the waist! Jessie pulled Corwin back, carrying him over his shoulder. Jessie turned and dove forward. He slammed Corwin hard into the mat, powerslamming him just like the British Bulldog! Jessie loved the move and loved delivering it to Corwin.

Corwin arched up in pain, his back aching. Jessie had gotten the first big move and his following in the crowd grew.

Jessie forced the loinclothed Tarzan-wannabe to his feet. He slammed him back first into the corner and hammered his fists into Corwin's stomach, driving the tag champ into the turnbuckle hard. Corwin moaned as he was pummeled mercilessly.

The crowd was in shock. The more fickle members began to shift sides and Jessie started to get support. Everyone was wondering, was Jessie really Corwin's equal? Or even more shocking, was h

The crowd was in shock. The more fickle members began to shift sides and Jessie started to get support. Everyone was wondering, was Jessie really Corwin's equal? Or even more shocking, was he actually his better?

Jessie had Corwin on the ropes. But Corwin was tough and Jessie's punches were not exactly earth shattering after facing the likes of Trace and Kale. Jessie drove a knee into Corwin's mid-section and pulled him from the corner. Jessie moved his arm over Corwin's neck and put his head under Corwin's. He grabbed a handful of Corwin's loincloth, setting up the suplex.

As Jessie lifted, the champion stud blocked. Jessie tried again, but Corwin managed to not only black, but also fall back, planting Jessie into a small package! Jessie's head hit hard and he lay limp on the mat.

Corwin was up immediately and pulling Jessie up. He lifted Jessie and delivered a bodyslam! Jessie crashed down hard. Corwin pulled him up again and delivered another. Jessie was in pain, but Corwin was already pulling him to his feet again. Jessie lashed out with a punch to Corwin's stomach. Corwin's once-rock solid abs were softer now and he stepped back

Corwin realized that he needed a quick break. He had taken some punishment. He forced Jessie to his feet and tossed him out of the ring!Jessie went flying out to Patrick and Joey. Joey went to stomp on Jessie, but Patrick had already lifted him to his feet. Patrick threw Jessie back into the ring immediately. Some of Corwin's supporters got on Patrick a bit, but Patrick told them that those were the rules. Patrick was upset that people wanted him to attack Jessie on the floor. It wasn't right.

Joey was annoyed with Patrick, too, but he didn't want to upset Patrick any further. He whispered into Patrick's ear, "Patrick, it's okay. You did the right thing. Those are the rules."

Patrick smiled at his friend, grateful for his support. In his mind, though, Joey resolved that if Jessie came out again, he would block Patrick and let Elton and Daryl take over. To Joey, Patrick's naivete and good sportsmanship was cute but misplaced.

Corwin was surprised to see Jessie back in so fast. He had gotten no rest at all. Corwin marched over and forced Jessie to his feet again. Again Jessie lashed out with a right. Corwin stumbled back into the corner. Jessie shook out the cobwebs and charged Corwin.

Jessie charged hard, aiming his shoulder right at Corwin's softened abs. Corwin, however, could take as much as any wrestler. He saw Jessie's clumsy charge and evaded it. Jessie plunged into the corner and slammed his shoulder into the ring post hard!

Jessie stumbled back and dropped to his knees, clutching his shoulder. Corwin came up behind him and dropped a double axe handle onto his back, across his shoulders! Jessie fell to the mat. Corwin stomped Jessie's back. Jessie rolled to the side to avoid the stomps. Corwin recognized an opportunity. Jessie was rolling right to his brother and Drew. Corwin leveled a hard boot into the rolling Jessie, sending him rolling right out of the ring.

With Jessie out of the ring, Corwin massaged his aching abs. The tag team jobber had hurt his abs but now Corwin knew, he was in control.

People in the crowd leapt to their feet to get a better view of the action. With Jessie out of the ring again, everyone wanted to see what Drew and Dean would do!

Unlike Patrick, Dean and Drew had no interest in throwing Jessie back into the ring right away. Both of them disliked Jessie, entirely because of Corwin. The loin-clothed hunks were closer to Corwin than anyone in the world and knew that he needed some time.

Carter and Rick longed to interfere and help Jessie but they knew the rules. As long as things did not get out of control, they would resist. HB and Kane pushed up behind them to watch.

Drew and Dean stomped Jessie a couple of times. Jessie scrambled up and fell back onto the barrier between the ring and the crowd. Dean grabbed Jessie and locked his arms behind him. Drew fired to hard fists to Jessie's stomach, winding him.

The ref started telling them to send Jessie back in. Dean pressed Jessie over his head, showing off his tremendous heavyweight strength. He held Jessie aloft, letting the crowd admire his hard body! In his loincloth, the crowd thought, "Here is the real Tarzan, Drew and Corwin are Boy!"

Dean tossed Jessie back in the ring, right in front of an eager Corwin. Corwin pulled Jessie to his feet. He dropped Jessie's head between his legs and held the wrestler tightly. Everyone watching wondered, what would he do? Piledriver? Powerbomb? Pedigree? They never found out because HB ran in front of Rick and yelled at Corwin. Corwin's guard was down, given that he had complete control of Jessie. He turned and in that moment, Jessie stood. Corwin felt himself going over, but could do nothing!

Corwin was back body dropped right onto the mat. Jessie staggered to the ropes. HB was behind him and issued instructions. Jessie fought through the fog and charged.

Corwin was rising to his feet, the back body drop winding him only for a moment. He turned to face Jessie and was promptly met by a big boot to the mid-section! Corwin's abs collapsed and he bent over. Jessie grabbed him in a headlock and flipped him across the ring. Corwin flew into Jessie's corner. All he could hear was HB, Kane, Carl and Ari yelling at him.

When Corwin turned, Jessie was right there again. He stomped Corwin's abs and drove him into the corner. Jessie drove two knees up into Corwin's abs. The dynamic six-pack was showing the wear-and-tear. The assault had been constant! Jessie pulled Corwin from the corner.

Jessie wrapped his arm around Corwin's neck. He reached down and slid his thumb under the waistband of Corwin's loincloth and forced his fingers into the leg opening. He cinched his grip in tight, scrunching Corwin's loincloth into his hand and using it to assist the lift.

Jessie dipped, forcing Corwin to follow. This time, Corwin was unable to block in time. Jessie lifted and Corwin was suspended in midair! Jessie fell forward and drove Corwin's chiseled abs onto the top rope hard. The impact was huge and Corwin gagged for a moment. Jessie grabbed Corwin by the hair and lifted his torso. Corwin slid off the top rope, his feet landing on the apron.

Jessie delivered a solid judo chop to Corwin. Corwin felt himself falling back and grabbed the top rope. Jessie delivered another chop to Corwin's chest that sent him back to the matted floor.

Corwin fell back, into the waiting arms of Carl and Ari. The cruel thugs caught Corwin. In one swift move, they dropped down, slamming his back into their knees! The double backbreaker almost made Corwin pass out. The ref told the thugs to bring Corwin back in. HB hopped onto the ropes and said to the ref, "They didn't do anything wrong! He fell into their arms! They couldn't hold him!"

The ref turned to HB and said, "Get off the apron, son." HB argued his case.

The crowd was loud and the wrestlers were louder. Everyone was screaming about something. The ref was focused on HB instead of Corwin.

Carl and Ari kept Corwin stretched over their knees and pounded fists into Corwin's abs! The abs were softer now, having been tortured and dropped onto the top rope. Corwin convulsed on their knees as they pummeled him without mercy.

The ref turned back and told them again to bring Corwin into the ring. Carl and Ari complied, lifting Corwin up. They each grabbed an arm and pulled him forward. Corwin tried to jump into the ring but Carl and Ari, instead of lifting, held Corwin down. Corwin slammed abs first into the apron. Corwin nearly lost his lunch as his mouth filled with bile. Carl and Ari acted like he had not jumped. Together, they lifted him, Carl on his chest and Ari on his legs. The big tag team threw Corwin into the ring, actually launching him into the air. Corwin crashed back in hard. Jessie was immediately back on him.

Jessie pulled Corwin to his feet. He pitched Corwin across the ring. Jessie set up for a clothesline. As Corwin ran to the ropes, Elton had his arm extended, hoping to signal Jessie's move. Corwin saw it and his instinct took over. He came off the rope and ducked. Jessie missed the clothesline and Corwin bounced off the opposite ropes.

Jessie turned to deliver another clothesline but was met with a hard cross body block that sent him down hard with Corwin on top of him.

Corwin rolled off Jessie. He was hurting. He wanted to end this match now. Corwin lifted Jessie to his knees. Corwin dropped an elbow to the top of Jessie's head. Jessie's lights went out for a second. Corwin forced him to his feet. Jessie was too dazed to react.

Corwin managed to maneuver Jessie perfectly. He drove Jessie down with the DDT, driving the wrestler's skull into the mat. Jessie's body quaked but he struggled to move. Corwin grabbed Jessie to pull him up.

HB called out, "His foot's on the rope!" Corwin and the ref looked. It was true. The ref made Corwin back off as Jessie was in the ropes. Corwin knew that HB had lifted Jessie's foot but no one had seen it. Corwin cursed. With Jessie nothing more than a limp dishrag in the ring, Corwin pointed at HB and told him off.

As Corwin jawed at HB, Jessie reached out. He grabbed the waistband of Corwin's loincloth and pulled Corwin forward. The thin spandex stretched out and pulled Corwin forward and down. Corwin crashed forward, his head slamming into the turnbuckle Jessie slid out and pulled the dazed Corwin up. He immediately tossed Corwin out to the eager HB and Kane.

Jessie wanted to rest and knew that HB and Kane would handle things from here.

The crowd jumped up as he went flying out of the ring, into the waiting arms of the lumberjacks below.

Corwin flew out to the floor below. Jessie crawled to the center of the ring, glad to have the respite. Corwin had weakened him, but Jessie knew that he had hurt Corwin as well.

Corwin went sailing through the ropes. He had been stunned by the slam into the turnbuckle. Corwin fell right onto the matted floor below. He felt himself being lifted to his feet. HB pointed at Rick and Carter and said, "Make sure they stay on their side, we'll throw him back in!" Carl did the same with Jeff and Sean.

With the four good guys watching the other lumberjacks, HB and Kane seized Corwin's arms. Ari and Carl jumped onto the apron and started jawing with the ref. The ref turned to move them off the apron.

After watching Carl and Ari work over Corwin earlier, Daryl and Elton had no patience. They came around the ring post to get Carl and Ari off the apron the hard way.

Jeff and Sean held their ground. Daryl and Elton argued with them, not wanting to hurt the guys. Jessie watched and charged over. He started telling Daryl and Elton to get back on their own turf.

The end result was confusion as the five fighters argued but none made a move.

Across the ring, Drew and Dean made the same decision. They crossed the ring post and were met by Carter and Rick. Carter said, "Go back."

Dean and Drew ignored Carter's warning and tried to push forward. Carter let Dean go, knowing Rick was behind him.

Dean moved to shove past Rick. Rick blocked his way. Dean pulled back and threw a fist at Rick's head. Rick ducked the punch and came underneath; driving his left fist deep into Dean's ripped abs. The solid six-pack shuddered but held. Unfortunately for Dean, Rick followed up with a right that actually lifted him off his feet. Rick shoved Dean back. Dean stumbled back. He was furious at his manhandling and charged. The little stud in front of him would pay.

Drew charged while this was going on. As Rick was ducking, Carter received a fist to his abs, courtesy of Drew. Carter absorbed the blow much to Drew's shock. Carter could take a beating; one fist would never take him down.

Carter responded with an elbow to Drew's head. Drew's body rocked and Carter followed up. Carter landed a blow just above Drew's loincloth and then pushed Drew back. Drew stumbled into the ring post, hitting hard. Carter charged forward and splashed Drew between his hard body and the steel post. Drew lost his wind. Carter grabbed him by the hair and the waistband of his loincloth and pitched him back across the line to a shocked Damon and Marcus. Damon caught Drew.

While Drew was getting pummeled, Dean was charging again. He cried out with fury as Rick waited. When Dean got within range, Rick kicked up with his foot. Dean caught the boot but Rick swung his other foot out, taking him down hard and fast.

Dean was rocked and collapsed onto the barrier between the crowd and the ring. Dean shook out the cobwebs as Rick grabbed him. Dean shot out an elbow in frustration. Whether by accident or design, Dean hit low, ramming his elbow into Rick's pouch. Rick stumbled back as Dean got to his feet.

Rick stared at Dean, irate about the low blow. The lumberjacks were getting as hot as the combatants were!

With the action heading to the floor, the action outside was getting as hot as the action inside the ring!

Rick was furious about Dean's low blow. He charged and planted his boot deep into Dean's abs. As Dean bent over, Rick planted him with a DDT that knocked him into next week!

Rick lifted Dean's powerful body with one hand under his arm and the other between his legs. He forced Dean back onto his side of the ring, hurling him towards Marcus. Marcus caught Dean as Rick pointed at them. Rick said, "Either of you want to try something?"

Damon and Marcus laid the dazed Drew and Dean onto the matted floor. They charged forward. Carter and Rick met them and the four lumberjacks exchanged hard forearms. Carter and Rick staggered Damon and Marcus backwards. Dean and Drew were rising and saw the trouble. They got up and moved in behind Damon and Marcus. They wanted to get in but the area was too narrow. Carter and Rick had wisely stayed on their side and this gave them the advantage. Only two lumberjacks could charge them at once.

Dean nudged Drew and nodded. With the ref distracted, Drew and Dean could cut the corner. Dean went first, sliding through the ring. He stepped in behind Carter and Rick and moved to save his brother!

Damon and Marcus were staggering badly as they were on the losing end of the forearms. Carter saw Dean sliding through the ring. Carter charged forward and leveled both Damon and Marcus with a surprising double clothesline!

Rick used the break to grab Dean. He grabbed his shoulder and slammed his forearm into Dean's head. Rick then stomped hard into Dean's abs and set him up for another DDT! Just as Rick did, he was leveled with a kidney punch! Drew had slid in behind him and it was now two-on-one!

Dean broke free and clotheslined Rick to the mat. The heavyweight looked at Rick sprawled on the floor with satisfaction. Suddenly, Dean felt a hand in his hair. Carter had flattened Damon and Marcus and arrived. Carter had Drew and Dean by the hair. Without giving them time to react, he slammed their heads together! Tarzan and Boy were staggered and fell to one knee.

Rick was already rising. He grabbed Drew and Carter grabbed Dean. The cousins threw Drew and Dean back towards their own side. Damon and Marcus were charging. Drew and Dean came flying at them! It was too late for them to react and Corwin's lumberjacks crashed into one another, collapsing into a big pile. Carter and Rick forced each grabbed two of them by the hair and dragged them back to their own side. They then slid through the ring under the ropes back to their position, waiting in case any of the four interlopers got any other ideas.

Ironically, Drew and Dean's charge had had the opposite effect than intended. Rick and Carter would have thrown Corwin back into the ring. Instead, with them distracted, HB and Kane had free reign with Corwin. The two tough punks were like kids in a candy store, getting to beat on Corwin uninterrupted for minutes instead of seconds.

There was so much action going on outside the ring that no one knew where to look. When Corwin flew out of the ring, Carter, Rick, Jeff and Sean were immediately turned to face their opposing lumberjacks. Carl and Ari distracted the refs and it was chaos.

The crowd and audience all focused on one of the various conflicts. Very few watched Corwin, sprawled on the floor, struggling to get up. HB and Kane lifted Corwin to his feet. They each grabbed an arm. Together, HB and Kane flung Corwin back into the barrier. His body rammed hard into the old fashioned steel railing that kept the crowd from the ring. HB and Kane then pulled him forward and slammed him abs first into the ring! Corwin was their helpless yo-yo, unable to do anything.

HB and Kane both whipped Corwin again into the apron. Across the ring, Joey and Patrick were the only free lumberjacks. They decided to save their friend. The lumberjacks slid into the ring, trying to take the most direct approach. Carl saw and turned the ref. The ref caught the lumberjacks in the ring and turned them around quickly.Rather than leave the ring, they argued their case. Carl and Ari no longer needed to distract the ref, so they came around to dish out more punishment. The hard whips into the barrier and apron had ravaged Corwin's back and abs.

Now HB and Kane picked the helpless loincloth-clad tag champ and gave him a double gutbuster over their knees. Corwin almost threw up as he fell to the matted floor.

HB and Kane stomped on Corwin's abs. They pulled him to his feet and rushed him forward again, as though sending him into the ring. However, as got to the apron, HB and Kane made sure to hold Corwin down and slam him hard, abs first, into the ring, just as Carl and Ari had done. Corwin went limp in their grip but they didn't let him fall.

HB said, "Geez, Corwin, you missed your jump. Let's try again."

HB lifted Corwin up and carried him towards the ring. As he moved, he pretended to wobble. HB said, "Wow, Corwin, you been bulking up. You're too heavy for me!" With that, he dropped Corwin down.

Kane had extended his knee and HB drove Corwin down with incredible force onto Kane's knee! Corwin's back was in spasms from the horrible backbreaker. HB pounded Corwin's softened abs mercilessly.

HB and Kane loved double-teaming the tag champ. They loved punishing his hard torso. HB knew that Corwin was pretty weak now, they had dished out a lot of punishment. After pounding Corwin's abs as he cried out in pain from the backbreaker, Kane finally pushed Corwin to the mat.

Corwin looked at the matted floor and tried to rise. He knew he had to get back into the ring and fast. If he stayed out here, HB and Kane would ruin him!

Outside the ring, the action was fast and furious. At the northwest side, five wrestlers were jawing, no one watching Corwin's abuse. Daryl and Elton were arguing with Jeff, Sean and Jessie. None of the five were watching anything else.

On the east side of the ring, Damon, Marcus, Drew and Dean were fighting with Carter and Rick.

In the ring, the ref was focused on Joey and Patrick who were trying to persuade him to let them help Corwin. He told them that he could disqualify Corwin just for them entering the ring.

That tied up 13 of the guys in the match. The remaining five were now on the south side, as Corwin was lying face down on the matted floor, the victim of HB and Kane's double-teaming. Now, with Patrick and Joey distracting the ref, Corwin's troubles doubled. Carl and Ari joined HB and Kane, in helping Corwin back into the ring.

HB kicked Corwin hard in the side, flipping him onto his back. HB, Kane Carl and Ari each set up and delivered elbows to Corwin's prone body. Carl and HB landed theirs together, HB to the abs, Carl to the chest. Corwin's chiseled abs and bulging pecs shook with the elbow drops. As Carl and HB rolled aside and stood, Ari and Kane followed up repeating their partners' abuse.

Corwin felt like submitting right then and there as each of the cruel punk wrestlers landed five elbows in a short span. He had no chance to recover; it was like bullets hammering his body. As soon as two were delivered, another two followed.

After the elbows, they picked Corwin up. Carl and Ari held his arms behind him in a double hammerlock as HB and Kane hammered his abs and pecs. Corwin was aching, his torso red from the punishment that had been dished out.

Corwin moaned in pain, practically out on his feet. Carl and Ari released Corwin and he fell to the mat. The four terrible punks mocked his weakness. Together, they lifted him up and rolled him into the ring. Carl and Ari moved over and yelled at Jessie to get Corwin.

Jessie turned and saw Corwin lying helpless across the ring. He marched over and grabbed Corwin's hair. He pulled him to the center of the ring.

Finally Joey and Patrick moved out of the ring. They realized that they had made a mistake but no more than Drew, Dean, Damon, Marcus, Elton and Daryl. Together, Corwin's lumberjacks had inadvertently combined to get him punished and probably cost him the match.

Jessie looked at the completely defeated Corwin. He knew HB and Kane had done more than roll him into the ring, but resolved not to think about it. Corwin deserved everything he got. And he deserved to be tied up and forced to beg like a dog.

The crowd was riled up even though the lumberjacks had settled down. The match had finally gotten nasty as Drew and Dean had tried to encroach past Carter and Rick. The people on the south side had missed HB and Kane pummeling Corwin, instead watching Dean and Drew get their asses kicked. The cheap shot low blow by Dean on Rick was being debated by the fans, "was it accidental or deliberate?"

Jessie got ready to lock in his submission move.

The crowd was riled up even though the lumberjacks had settled down.

In the ring, Corwin was lying on the mat. Jessie was looking strong and confident. HB, Kane, Carl and Ari had taken care of Corwin for him quite nicely.

Jessie grabbed Corwin by the hair and pulled him into the middle on the ring. He rolled Corwin onto his stomach. Jessie ran back into the ring ropes and bounced off them. He splashed down hard onto Corwin's back! Corwin's head snapped up as he let out a scream. The tag champ was aching.

Jessie slid over Corwin, their soaking bodies creating very little friction as the dominant Jessie got into position. Jessie slid one arm under Corwin's and wrapped around Corwin's shoulder and neck. He slid his legs over Corwin's butt and then under Corwin's hips. Jessie rolled over and pulled hard, cinching in the maneuver.

The crowd made appreciative noises as Jessie stretch Corwin out in an abdominal stretch on the mats. Corwin's legs were split and he was unable to get any power to them. His red and broken down abs were being pulled hard as Jessie lay under him pulling him hard.

Corwin's arms were trapped, one by Jessie's left arm locked under his shoulder and the other by the weight of Jessie's body. Corwin's right arm flopped in the air as he tried to power out of the hold. But his chest, back and abs lacked any strength. He was Jessie's to use.

Jessie smiled as he had Corwin locked up. Corwin was refusing to submit but Jessie knew it was only a matter of time. With his free hand, Jessie raised it as he had seen other wrestlers do and made a claw sign! Jessie's new supporters cheered as he dropped his hand and clawed roughly at Corwin's torn apart midsection.

Corwin bucked wildly, completely lost in pain. He screamed but did not submit. Jessie taunted him quietly. He whispered into Corwin's ear, "Who's the jobber now? Beg and I might let you go. Of course, as you said, what's another loss for me? Maybe I'll just let myself get disqualified. I bet my lumberjacks can handle yours. We could be like this for a long time, Corwin. Me breaking you down more and more."

Corwin muttered "No, no, no." He tried to break free, but his muscles just shuddered without moving an inch. Jessie's tight claw was devastating Corwin. The abuse of the four tag stars was too much; Corwin's body could not recover.

Jessie responded to Corwin's denials with a simple, "Yes, yes, yes."

Jessie wrenched back harder, pushed his claw in deeper. Corwin's sweat-soaked body writhed and quivered as pain overtook him. Corwin's trim hips bucked up and down but the hold was unbreakable for the beaten and broken Corwin. With his legs spread, abs stretched and arms pinned, Corwin realized the truth.

"I GIVE! I SUBMIT!" Corwin cried out. He had held out past his breaking point and now his body collapsed in the hold.

The ref signaled the bell, but Jessie did not let go. He shouted, "WHAT DID YOU SAY, JOBBER?"

Corwin repeated his submission, "I GIVE, I SUBMIT!" Jessie finally let go and stood in the ring. He raised his hands and the announcer came over the loud speaker.

AND YOUR WINNER IS ... JESSIE!

The lumberjacks came in, Corwin's team rolling him to safety before HB or his cronies could attack him, Jessie's group simply congratulating him. Jessie turned back and saw Corwin being assisted out of the ring. He did not take his eyes off him as he was carried into the back. Part of him felt guilty, knowing that this victory was due largely to the interference of others. But, as he replayed Corwin calling him Jobbie over and over in his head, he mostly felt good.

THE END
