Review: Kenny Starr vs. Luke Reel (BGEast)

TRIGGER WARNING: LANGUAGE

So, right off the bat, let me explain the trigger warning. Luke uses 'gay' as a pejorative to describe meditation multiple times. Now, you may subscribe to the whole 'we can use it' theory, but I do not. It surprises me when I hear 'gay' used in a negative context in 2019 and who says it doesn't change my reaction. Anyway, that's what the trigger warning is all about.

Kenny Starr vs. Luke Reel features two very different BGEast rookies going at it during some down time at the famous northeast headquarters. It's actually pretty cute and fun, with Luke Reel playing an annoying and persistent guy who really wants attention from Kenny Starr and will do anything to get it.

Luke wants attention.

So far, Luke Reel hasn't gotten a ton of attention. I searched the other blogs and found nothing on him, yet. He appeared in two videos, but this is the one that I've watched so far. The rookie fits the regular guy category that is unique to BGEast. He looks cute with a furry body and decked out in a speedo. Luke comes across as someone who is fun to roll around with, feisty and flirty.

Kenny Starr hasn't really changed from his UCW days. I have no idea when this was shot, so that might be why, but he's handsome and ripped like always. It's no wonder Luke targets him as a playmate. The chiseled hunk is chill, but he's also not going to take a ton of shit. We see his calm and his temper whether his body is stretching or being stretched.

Luke's not as bendy as Kenny.

Luke likes being on top.

Hi, Kenny. Lookin' good.

Things start out in the amazing BGEast backyard. It's a beautiful day. Luke has been swimming. He sees sculpted Kenny in the Lotus pose and, well, of course he wants to hang out. Duh, who wouldn't? A simple request, "come swim with me" is declined because, well, Kenny is busy meditating.

Luke immediately gets demanding. He repeatedly whips Kenny with his towel, trying to get a rise out of the young stud. Miraculously, Kenny endures almost 30 seconds of being whacked by the towel and whined at before he loses it. Meditation does work, because I think most of us would've snapped a lot earlier. Anyway, the pesky intruder gets his way, wrestling with sexy Kenny, which is way better than swimming with him.

Those legs do more than just look good.

Kenny's commitment to stretching pays off.

Huh, Kenny can dish out gut punches, too.

Action-wise, it's fairly back-and-forth on the mat. They go back-and-forth. I like the pace of the action with long-held holds. True to the set-up, Kenny is more playful, Luke is a little more aggressive with some dirty tricks to level the playing field. There are a couple of submissions, the towel gets used as a weapon and both guys go out after drawn-out sleeper holds. One guy gets his way in the end.

Luke's a pest that you just can't shake.

Luke gets served!

Kenny struggles hard in this
fearsome sleeper.

In the end, I enjoyed this mat battle. Their personalities and bodies contrasts nicely and both guys wrestle well. The premise is fun, Luke plays annoying perfectly, while Kenny suits the chill cool yoga dude role. The standout is probably Kenny slowly but ruthlessly choked out, taking almost 90 seconds, but the whole match is fun.

So that's my take. What's yours?

Alex
