Review: Eagle vs. Scrappy (Thunders Arena)

I've been fawning over Cason lately, because I think he's the hottest new thing going. However, Thunders Arena has plenty of gorgeous guys still showing up for fun, sexy action. Eagle and Scrappy, for example. They've both been the hottest new thing before, so Eagle vs. Scrappy should get my attention and it did.

It's a motel room romp for two of Thunders' best.

My love for both these guys is no secret. Scrappy won the most coveted Cavey Award (Favorite Wrestler) and Eagle has won his fair share of positive reviews from me.

Scrappy and Eagle keep getting bigger, channeling their Thunders paychecks into gym memberships and supplements. Scrappy has been filling out for a while, but keeping his shape and definition. He's squat and sculpted, becoming a sexy wrestling fireplug. Eagle has always been thick through the body, but I think he's at his thickest. His legs are massive and I'll never believe that torso can be legitimately damaged.

Eagle is a wall of muscle.

Scrappy's always ready for action.

Eagle's pecs get some love.

First off, you'll see that this is set in a standard hotel room. It's not torn up or arranged, so the match in all done on the rugs, beds and bathroom. It's not my favorite set-up, but Eagle and Scrappy make it work surprisingly well.

Everything is helped by the guys' performance. I'm really surprised, but I think this is the first time they've wrestled each other. Doesn't feel right, but I can't see any other match on the site. They have a nice chemistry, with Eagle's soft-spoken arrogance and Scrappy's brash bravado. Everything is a challenge for the smaller stud and he is game for anything.

Eagle is popping with power.

Pain and pleasure.

Eagle needs a tag partner.

Action-wise, this is actually smooth, given the setting. They use power moves like bearhugs with static floor moves to work each other over. It's definitely a series of holds, but it hangs together as one narrative, too. The power and prowess on display impressed me. There were so many holds that I wanted to show, but couldn't without posting 20+ images. I love the sleepers, which are definitely climactic moments, but the entire video is pretty sweet.

At least the landing is soft after this gorilla press.

Eagle muscle can't keep him awake.

Guys like when I write shower action,
but here it is for real.

In the end, this hotel room romp is fun and sexy. It's got great guys and hot holds. The location is what it is, but it never prevented me from watching and enjoying two stars doing what they do best.

So, that's my take. What's yours?

Alex

  1. I completely agree with everything you said about the match and its two stars. This was indeed the first time these two have faced each other, which is almost criminal that it took so long to bring them together! Let's hope it doesn't take as long to see a power-vs-power matchup between Eagle and Cason to prove who's the Arena's top stud! There's always someone bigger, badder, and younger out there to dethrone the current champ. Eagle did it to Z-Man, and will Cason now do it to him?

    1. Thanks for the comment. Eagle-Cason would be a great match up. I think the rookie would be the favorite, but Eagle's really packed with power these days.

  2. Definitely stunning physical specimen (damned kids - they put on muscle just walking into the gym at this age). Agree with you on the setting. Mats or ring trump mattresses. Or the chance of carpet burns. Been there, don't like that. But one does what one must, so it's always kind of cool to see companies set a match in that venue. In some respects it makes it more relatable to the regular guy.

    1. Good point that it's relatable and real. I'd still be interested in seeing these two in a ring or on a mat. :)

    2. Without question seeing them in a ring or on a mat would be awesome. And aspirational for us regular guys! ;-)

  3. This was one of my most satisfying Thunders purchases so far this year. Loved it! Scrappy is great in both jobber and heel roles as well.
