The Cast: Who's Who (July 2018)
Guys,
Only one new guy this month, but he's a guy I just found very interesting. Back in 2016, when I was thinking about Camp Grapple, Alex R sent me him in camouflage, but also included the cowboy images. I knew I wanted him against Beau immediately. It's taken me a long time to get to it, but I finally managed to do it.

Review: Austin Cooper vs. Scrappy (Wrestler4Hire)
Scrappy: What’s this I hear about my girlfriend?
Austin: I trained you. I figured I’d train her, too. I mean, it was a good time. She was a little bit easier to train than you were.
Once again, the two most frequently discussed wrestlers on this blog face off. This time, it's at Wrestler4Hire. Because I stream, it was an easy decision to check out Austin Cooper vs. Scrappy, just a couple of months after I watched them roam around the Thunders Arena house in a gut bashing melee. Luckily, this squash job in the ring is a lot different, so there's no feeling of familiarity.
Austin's proud of his training technique. |

Review: Scrappy vs. Mad Dog Mike (Wrestler4Hire)
There are a lot of wrestling videos that I consider specialty tastes. Due to talent or storyline, I think they'll appeal to a smaller group of people than others. Too often, people try to say those videos or wrestlers are bad. To me, they're all good, if they're produced well and appeal to the intended audience. That's why I'll often end reviews explaining who I think will like the video on top of my own opinion.
Maybe I'm wrong in my assessment, but Scrappy vs. Mad Dog Mike from Wrestler4Hire feels like a specialty taste to me. I see two specific storylines in here that can be very appealing, if you're into seeing good-looking muscle guys squashed (and not everyone is) by a young chubby brute (and not everyone is into this, either).

Mad Dog's Mike's not impressed by that muscle. |

Review: Trent Blayze vs. Jonny Firestorm (BGEast)
I've been traveling a lot recently, which is a big part of the reason why there's been so much Thunders Arena coverage lately. I loaded up my iPad and caught up on all of Vegas. Conversely, BGEast just isn't convenient on the road. It looks like I basically missed catalogue 128, since VODs for catalogue 129 are now available. I'm okay with that, since there were only a couple of matches I was genuinely interested in (Zip/Z-Man, Mitch/Jobe). Both Bard and Joe reviewed them if you want to know more.
So, I've decided to look forward rather than back. Jonny Firestorm vs. Trent Blayze is one of the new ones I definitely wanted. And it was available early (that seldom happens)! Great. I VOD'ed it on Saturday. How'd it go?

Somebody wishes this was a twenty minute video. |

Review: Cason vs. Steel x 2 (Thunders Arena)
Thunders Arena left Vegas a long time ago. They've moved on to the new Cap era (and he does look like a cutie), but I'm still wrapping up my Sin City purchases. These are the final two, both featuring gorgeous muscle studs Cason and Steel. Even though the videos feature the same talent, they are completely different in look, tone and feel.
A picture perfect pair. |

Review: Bolt + Scrappy + Eagle/Steel/Viking
While in Vegas, someone at Thunders Arena clearly thought it'd be a great idea to have one big hunk dominate two smaller studs. Whether this was a fan, the wrestlers or the production crew, we'll likely never know, but we certainly see the result. As the only “small” guys on the Vegas trip, Bolt and Scrappy ended up as the sacrificial lambs not once, not twice, but three times.
I ended up buying all three for some strange reason. Must have been the way the promotions worked out that I just added one in each time I made a buy. Luckily, they were all quite different. And so, let’s see how they went.

Q + A: JJ Allen (Muscleboy Wrestling)
After my review of JJ Allen vs. Taylor Reign (review here) from Muscleboy Wrestling, I received a comment from JJ Allen that he enjoyed it. We exchanged some emails and he kindly agreed to answer some questions for my blog. I was curious about two areas – JJ’s private wrestling, some of which he has documented on a blog, and his public wrestling at Muscleboy Wrestling. Let's learn more about both ...
How did Justin feel after being caught between JJ's killer thighs? |

The Cave: The Adventures of SuperStar 16
Cody's Private Gym
“Oh, fuck, Jae. That was wild.”
“Thanks, Jax. You were amazing. Best I've ever had.”
The bodybuilder smirks, “Appreciate that, but you're young. You haven't had that many, yet.”
I shake my head, “I'm serious. You're incredible. I can push you hard and you can take it. Hell, I think you actually enjoy the pain. All my clients should be like you.”
Jackson nods, “I love this workout, Jae. Guys were right. You're a really creative trainer.”
Me. Jae. |

Reviews: Cason vs. Eagle/Cason vs. Viking (Thunders Arena)
Let’s stay in Vegas a little longer. When Thunders Arena first announced they were heading there, they solicited commissioners or sponsors of certain content. They also noted they were pretty much full up on Cason stuff. No surprise his schedule filled up so fast. Also, no surprise he appears on eight different videos from Vegas so far.
I've bought five of them. I'm reviewing two at once here, not because I didn't like them, but because there wasn't as much to say or the need for so many images. They're more focused videos with concentration on certain holds.

Review: Viking vs. Mack - Vegas (Thunders Arena)
Viking: "I'm gonna ask, even though I already know the answer, -"
Mack: "These are not your shorts."
Viking: "- are those my fucking shorts?"
Next up from Thunders Arena's latest trip to Vegas is a re-match of sorts, although there's a new element added to the equation. Viking vs. Mack: Vegas Battles 36 has a storyline that any similarly-sized siblings or roommates can probably relate to. And it has a shocking reveal (which is not one of their bare butts, unfortunately).
Viking: "I told Mom specifically not to put my clothes in your drawers. Not to do my laundry with yours." |

Review: Cason vs. Bolt - The Birthday Party (Thunders Arena)
Thunders Arena has returned to Vegas with almost all of their biggest current stars in tow. Frey and Blayne seem to be the only ones missing, but Bolt is back after an injury layoff. They're mixing and matching the guys with new scenarios, many of which are fan-created. Cason vs. Bolt wasn't the first one I bought or watched, but it's the first one I'm reviewing.
Happy birthday, Bolt. Your buddies have a surprise for you ... |

Review: Bruno the Beast vs. Alex Costa (Muscleboy Wrestling)
Bruno the Beast vs. Alex Costa from Muscleboy Wrestling might hold a record for me. I don't actually keep track of these things, but I can't remember a video that has taken me this long to get through. It's a forty-minute match, but it took me probably ten viewings to finish it. So is this a good record to have or a bad one? Trust me, it's a very, very good one.
I know exactly how Alex feels. This video grabbed me by the balls and refused to let go. |

July 4th 2018.
I've come to learn that there are a few iconic things about July 4th, US Independence Day. Flag-related showiness. Barbecuing. And fireworks. As I thought about what to post this year, I've done the flag thing before. I couldn't figure out how a food topic is relevant. Then I realized that wrestling has its own type of fireworks. I can celebrate with those.
So here you go ... wrestling fireworks. Dig in!

The Cave Unleashed 7: Beau vs. Toby
“What's this, bro? WWL is starting in like two minutes.”
“Don't care. I'm watching the Rebels.”
“C’mon, Tobe. Wrestling vs. basketball? You don't even like basketball.” I ignore my younger brother’s comment, just staring at the TV. He says, “Seriously, Toby? I told you I had a brutal day. Keith was riding my ass all fucking day. I was so close to snapping. I need to chill or tomorrow your baby bro’s gonna get fired for beating the shit outta his boss.”
Me. Toby. Beau's older, but smaller brother. |
