Review: Calvin Haynes vs. Nino Leone (BGEast)

Not only did I almost not review Calvin Haynes vs. Nino Leone from BGEast, I almost didn't watch it. It's basically the same story as MBW's match Jake Zane vs. Steve Tanner, which I reviewed here. Obviously both feature the same hairy muscle hunk, but in both he arrogantly dominates then gets his humiliating comeuppance from a smaller opponent. I wasn't sure if there was really anything to say about this. It's like Calvin has his thing, which is letting smaller guys manhandle him.

However, after watching it, there are some differences and I have a preference. So I figured that was worth a post.

Nino takes control of big Calvin.

Calvin Haynes is back and still ridiculously hot. He fills out his singlet incredibly well. It's terrifically tight on his beefy muscular body. And when it comes off, no complaints from me. I really like a man like Calvin. A lot of beef, a dusting of fur and a veneer of confidence just waiting to be peeled off. Woof.

Nino Leone is waiting as the contrast in this "catch-weight" video. He might be thinner and smaller, but he's no less cocky. In fact, he's cockier, completely calm at the sight of his mighty opponent. I like that he's immediately into Calvin, but also that he sees through the big man's confidence to the inner jobber under all those muscles. There's a sexual chemistry from the start that really grabbed my attention.

Big and sexy, Calvin fits one of my types to a tee.

Big guys don't stretch that way.

Calvin flexes to stay awake.

Things start out as you'd expect. Might mostly makes right as big Calvin throws his weight around the mat. He knows that he's bigger and stronger. Nino is tough, resilient and gets Clavin's kryptonite. He goes with the flow, getting bent, squeezed and pinned, but he puts up a fight. When his opening comes, Nino flips the script and takes control.

Might makes right as muscle wins out early.

Skinny guys are flexible fun.

Calvin asserts his dominance.

There's not a ton of action here. It's fairly slow-moving, grounded and mostly sensual in its approach. Look for extended scissors, sleepers and other controlled body-to-body positions. The crotch grabs look intense, actually making me wince a couple of times. Nino adds in a lot of body worship when he's in control. The big stud is seduced by Nino's foreplay and it's really sexy to see him give in.

Calvin might be big and strong, but he's like my character Jae - he's got the same exploitable weakness. (Check out The Cave: The Adventures of SuperStar 5 + 14 for the best examples, if you want to read more). Maybe because I write this same idea, I actually find this more plausible than him being overpowered and controlled by a smaller guy. Rather than Calvin just giving up for no reason, he's simply over-stimulated by his opponent. Nino earns the top position and Calvin is seemingly eager to become a plaything for a worthy man.

Yikes. That's a mighty tight grip.

Calvin's not that easy! Nino's got to earn it.

Okay, Nino earned it.

In the end, because of Calvin, it is a similar video to what I'd seen before, but it ends up feeling quite different in tone and content. There's less action, but more chemistry. There are no slurs (a major plus). It's more like foreplay disguised as a sexy tussle, rather than a serious match. Both guys win here, because you just know Calvin's damn happy with the outcome. I probably prefer this one, but really it'd be a choice between what you're looking for.

What are other bloggers saying?

So that's my take. What's yours?
