Review: DJ Beckham vs. Bobby Bryce (Wrestler4Hire)

This is a followup to my last Bobby Bryce review. The young ginger is a cutie pie who loves to play to the camera. He spends most of this match reaching out to the camera with his eyes and hands, begging for us to save him. Sorry, kid, but that ain't happening. Last time, Wrestler4Hire put him in a competitive match. Let's see how he does in a squashier affair.

Ginger ail.

This is the first time I've watched DJ Beckham. Damn, he is hot. Smoking hot. His body is ridiculously ripped. Little thing, but he has this way of standing and kneeling with his shoulders back, pecs up and bulge hanging low that drives me wild. The hunk is macho. Just a total man. And he only gets better as the match goes along.

I don't know if he's a nasty heel or he was just provoked into it by Bobby's lack of respect. His muscles pump, he sweats and his intensity level goes to 11. Definitely a fan of this feisty fireplug. Bobby's smooth, baby-faced and adorable. It's a great contrast that immediately telegraphs the story. Yes, there could be a surprise, but I wasn't expecting one.

DJ can't decide whether he should knock the bitch
out or beat on him some more. Why not both?

Going for a ride.

Bobby loves the camera.

Things start out competitively. Well, verbally competitive. For the first ten seconds. Bryce notes his height advantage and mocks the muscular fireplug. That insult is the last piece of offense the youngster gets. From that point on, it's a complete squash. Yes, Bobby makes the fatal error of youth by taunting the better man. It's a hallmark of being a cocky young brat that you fail to recognize your limitations. Luckily for us, DJ is the right man to show the ginger what he lacks.

Bobby thinks he's funny.
DJ doesn't.

Take your time. Measure him up.
He's not going anywhere.

Oh yeah, that one hurt.

Action-wise, this is an intense and brutal beatdown. Both guys play their roles really, really well. DJ trash talks. Bobby whimpers. DJ unleashes big power moves, like suplexes and slams. He bends the jobber boy. He stomps, hits and pummels the ginger punk. The bearded badass gets submissions and pins but he keeps going. Despite all that, late in the match, when DJ demands an apology, Bobby refuses. And so, things gets sweatier and more vicious for over 20 minutes.

Manhandling the mouthy boy.

DJ's gonna break his arm.

What are you looking at me for?

In the end, this is a fun and intense squash because of the guys. There are no surprises here but that is not what this is about. Bobby is a beautiful young boy victim and DJ is a hot manly heel. The bearded badass is relentless and ruthless, a heel who obviously enjoys his work. The cute ginger goes between being vulnerable and resilient. It all just comes together for a good time (unless you're Bobby, I guess).

What are other bloggers saying?

So, that's my take. What's yours?

Alex

  1. Great post, I especially liked the 2nd GIF. I have a weakness for ginger boys, so I will check this out eventually.
This is nitpicking but I'm not a fan of Bobby's two toned boots, I would've preferred solid white or red but nonetheless, this looks like a hot match.

    1. Thanks! It doesn't seem like there are many ginger boys around, so you have to enjoy them while you can.

That's funny on the boots. Everyone has their thing. I can't stand it when guys have tags sticking out the back of their trunks. In this case, I actually like two-tone boots because I think they have more personality.

  2. DJ Beckham is an all star heel with a body and look that’s pulsating. Bobby’s expressions and suffering are perfect. Great talent / match up. It seems like both have a background in wrestling. I’m wondering if DJ is actually on the professional circuit? I’d definitely like to see a lot more of him.

    1. 100% agree with you. To me, DJ must be pro-trained and pretty darn good, considering some of the moves he uses and how well he guides the match. I mean, he fills 20 minutes with brutality and banter. I'm not sure if he was active when things shut down.

  3. Hey guys ... "DJ" at W4H is sizzling firecracker on the indy scene as Douglas James. He seems to appear mostly in west coast and north "territories" and his first match at W4H with Caleb Klein is very worthwhile viewing!
