Review: Aspen vs. Scrappy (Thunders Arena)

In this world of video wrestler free agency, I wonder if it's ever hard for the men to remember where they are. Scrappy regularly wrestles for at least four places, Aspen for at least two. Wrestling video sites have different styles and personalities, just like wrestlers. So, when two free agents meet on the mats at Thunders Arena, what's their process? Do they try to consciously adapt?

I bring this up with Scrappy vs. Aspen specifically because this amazing video feels both Thunders but also not-Thunders at the same time.

So, what do I mean by that? Let me put it this way. It's like Thunders Arena drank an energy drink laced with ecstasy. This video has all the hot men, classic moves, long-held holds, and playful action I expect. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the level of energy and passion within it. It feels faster-paced, more chaotic and more overtly sexy than I think of from Thunders wrestling videos.

Both these guys have won Cavey Awards. Aspen won his for best porn crossover of 2018 thanks to his willingness to wrestle hard. And that's clear here. From the start, Aspen is in attack mode. While Scrappy's expecting the typical Thunders posedown, Aspen has no time for that. He comes in hard, takes the muscle punk down and beats on his perfect ass. He's relentless, forcing Scrappy to adapt.

A lot of the good stuff that I expected ...

... and some great stuff that I didn't.

It's a hot one in the Thunders garage.

Action-wise, it's non-stop from the opening flip. It's not a squash, but I think that it's fair to say that Aspen is the aggressor. The hairy hunk is less muscular than the young bodybuilder, but he's damn strong, lifting and controlling Scrappy really well. Aspen uses moves we don't normally see as he throws his body into the smooth superstar stud with abandon and he uses a grapevine (one of my favorites!) and uses it perfectly.

It takes Scrappy a little time to adjust but he does. He's a fighter against the biggest brutes, so you know he's not just going to lie down for an equally-sized stud. The young bodybuilder uses his power for action like some gut punishment and a bearhug. Things escalate, getting hotter and heavier. Both guys sell and sweat perfectly. I'm convinced that this was a workout.

On the sexy side, there's a great chemistry here with Aspen actively lusting after Scrappy in an overt way. The sexy young bodybuilder keeps pushing his personal envelope and his opponents are more than willing to help him. And Aspen is a porn actor, so the hairy hunk is all-in. When the sweat flows, things get really hot and the talk gets more provocative, culminating in a finale reminiscent of Brendan Cage.

Aspen's a pint-sized powerhouse, too.

In the end, HUGE WINNER from Thunders. What an awesome match from this adorable pair of studs. They're both charming and mischievous, but it's the fast-paced, hard-hitting and sexually-charged action that elevates this match to a recent favorite. I'm sure other places are wishing they'd done this pair first, because the bar has been set and it's a high one.
