Review: Alvin/Chet vs. Guido/Maverick (Wrestler4Hire)

I love classic tag team action. While other places do feature it, Wrestler4Hire really knows how to bring the indie pro studs together for a hot time. In this case, I knew I wanted to see this as soon as it hit streaming. I like all four guys and love a couple of them. Most of them have worked together, so they have great chemistry. I had high hopes for this and it met my expectations.

It's a high-action tag match from Wrestler4Hire.

You've got four super-hot indie pro wrestlers in the ring at one time, so it's hard to know where to start. Alvin and Chet are an established tag team. They're sexy and cocky, with a ton of swagger. Chet has faced Guido a lot and they make a nice contrasting foes. Their partners are no slouches, either. Alvin is chiseled with meaty pecs and ripped abs. Speaking of abs, no one matches Maverick and his famous eight-pack. He's powerful, solid and swarthy-hot.

I appreciate that Cameron put Guido and Maverick in matching gear. It's not the same color, but both guys are in flame-fired trunks. Meanwhile, Alvin's white trunks pop against his luscious chocolate skin and Chet contrasts in classic black trunks. So, the teams work together as studs and in gear.

Such a hot group of hunks.

It's a two-part GIF ... first Guido with the piledriver ...

... then Maverick with the body slam.

Things go the way you'd expect with the smoking hot indie pro studs taking most of the abuse from the ... smoking hot indie pro studs? Maybe I need to use names. Alvin and Chet, as the fresh-faced prettyboy heels, bite off more than they can chew. They make great victims, especially Chet who was born to be a cocky jobber heel. His smooth, tight body looks amazing on display.

The hairy beast Guido and ripped powerhouse Maverick dominate most of the action and love doing it. There are a couple of moments where the smaller studs get on top, but I would not recommend buying it to see Maverick or Guido suffer. If you want that, you'd be better off checking out the two-on-one where Alvin and Chet battle Guido (reviewed here).

The dominant dudes match in their flaming trunks.

Guido's bulge is on fire!

Who's the man? I think a "WOOF!" is in order.

Action-wise, there's a ton of it. It's pretty fast-paced with strong wrestling. What I remember most is the double-teaming. There's a lot of it, as you'd expect (and hopefully want). It's what I focused on when pulling images, discarding the one-on-one action. There is hot stuff in that, especially with Chet and Guido, but I really liked the moments where all four guys are in the ring.

As you can see from the images, Guido and Maverick use popular moves as well as some creative torture, like using a tear drop to swing Chet into Alvin's bulge. Creative and nasty.

Now that's just wrong!
But who wants to be right anyway?

Alvin and Chet might be more experienced as a team,
but Guido and Maverick are just too much to handle.

Ugh, they're so cocky!

In the end, it's a fun time. They all live up to my expectations with a barnburner that manages to be both classic and chaotic. Everyone looks sexy and plays their roles well. Plus, we don't see great tag action that often, just here and there, so us tag fans need to seize the opportunities we get.

So that's my take. What's yours?

Alex

  1. Ironranger here. I wonder if Guido and Maverick have ever wrestled each other on the Indy circuit. That would be an amazing match.

    1. That’s a great question, but I don’t know the answer. Personally, for those types of questions, I’d ask Bruno at Beefcakes of Wrestling. He’s the absolute best at indie wrestling stuff.
